Sammy would not have remember Louise because Louise never mentioned her name in the All in The Family episode. Also it was 12 years since they had sen each other and also Louise only saw him BRIEFLY in All In The Family.

Even if Sammy didn't remember Louise, certainly Louise would remember Sammy. All they needed to do was have Louise say,"Mr. Davis, you probably don't remember me, but I met you at my neighbor's house when we used to live in Queens. " And if Louise had mentioned Archie's name, surely Sammy would have remembered Archie. Sammy also did another guest spot with Archie on ABP only a few years before this guest spot.

Did Sammy and Archie talk about their first meeting when Sammy Guest starred on Archie's Bunkers Place.?

Of course they did-it was more of a sequel to the original episode. At the end, instead of Sammy kissing Archie, Archie and Stephanie returned the favor to Sammy!

I agree with jon123 that would have been something Louise would have said, at least!

An odd note about this one is that Isabel Sanford was quoted somewhere as saying that this mediocre show was actually her favorite episode. maybe she's a big Sammy Davis Jr fan.

I read in a book I think it was called TVland to Go or something like that that TVLAND rated this as the best episode. If so they're smoking something.
