boechsner Member Senior Member Join Date: Oct 18, 2000 Location: Green Bay, WI Posts: 2,212	Mother Jefferson was phased out of the show during the 3rd and 4th seasons (1976-1977, 1977-1978) due to Zara Cully's health problems. They never had an episode where she died but it was mentioned that she passed away by the 5th season.
