I'm not sure."Seinfeld" is famous mostly for Kramer.CYE doesn't have a Kramer but yeah, It might have but you have to ask someone else.

Pound for pound, or I should say show for show, "Curb" is the clear cut winner.

I have only seen the first two seasons of CYE from DVD. I have to say I enjoy it alot more than Seinfeld. Nothing against Seinfeld, I just laugh more at CYE. I'll be bagging at the grocery store I work at, and I'll just start smiling thinking about CYE scenes. I love Curb Your Enthusiasm!

Default Curb is here & now-

I think they are complementery of each other. I think Curb is *very* seinfeldian & watching it lets you know how much LD had to do with Seinfeld. The original gets some props because w/o Seinfeld, there is no Curb.

Curb may be better to watch right now, its fresher & current. Aired on HBO it can cut loose more than its network predecessor.

We'll have to see if Curb lasts nearly a decade, and if half a dozen years after its over has a sliver of the impact Seinfeld had on TV comedy.

One thing seems true... Larry makes some funny arse TV

As much as I love CYE, I think Seinfeld was a consistently better show. Lots of season 4 was a little slow and a little off the mark.

As an aside, my favorite episode of CYE ever was The Doll. Absolutely priceless.

Cheers,
Rob

I absolutely loved Seinfeld but it was much more tame than CYE because it was a network show. Also, it appealed to a much broader audience due to it being on NBC.

I just think CYE is a smarter and funnier show with alot more edge and it is refreshing! IMHO. I hope it is around for a long time...I just wish there were more episodes every year!!!

HBO needs to change their 10 episodes a season policy. Give us at least 13 of CYE. I just savor almost every new episode on Sunday nights.

This seemed like the best place to put this. I've watched a few episodes of CYE, and although they were funny, I didn't like them that much. Maybe it was the cursing, maybe it was the fact that it's "not" Seinfeld. I rented a couple of the DVD's and after having them for two weeks, I could not bring myself to watch anymore. I did watch the first episode with Richard Lewis. I just kept putting it off and putting it off. I ended up mailing them back to Netflix this afternoon.

Nothing against the show. I just can't get into it.

Andrea
