Question Lois & Clark

Does anyone else think Lois & Clark is the best Superman show? I love that show.

Yes, it is. I remember watching the first two seasons on ABC. I didn't watch it much during seasons three and four though, but I did watch them on TNT. Now I haven't missed an episode yet on TBS after one cycle and one season, they are now on season two the second time.

I do! It's one of my all time fav. series. Teri and Dean have amazing chemistry.

Which Jimmy did you like Michael Landes or Justin Whalin? I loved Justin because he made Jimmy so different and not whimpy like ML's Jimmy was, and he had better chemistry with Teri, Dean and Lane Smith(Perry)

I'm glad you brought up the Jimmy thing, is it true they fired Michael because he looked a little like Dean Cain? I read that at TV Tome and another L&C website.

I think that was part of it, I read at a Lois and Clark board that they got a new producer for the show, and he fired Michael Landes, John Shea, Tracy Scoggins, and Deborah Joy Levine(Lois and Clark creator)

Here's the board if you want to know more, you will have to register but they can answer any questions you have there:

Lois & Clark is one of my favourite shows. Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain are the best.

Same here. For some reason I can't explain why, but I like the first Jimmy better.

Well, I guess I'm different from the rest of you folks here, because I can't STAND "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman"!! Let me count the reasons why:

1. Teri Hatcher. Lord Jesus, was there ever such an annoying actor in the history of drama than her? Sure, she's pretty and all, but she's also such a @#$!&**!!in' airhead, it's enough to make a man scream!! (Dana Delaney on "Superman, The Animated Series" made a better {and SPUNKIER} Lois Lane than Teri Hatcher ever did!!)

2. Dean Cain. THIS is "Superman"? Honestly, does he look like he last two rounds with Batman (the Adam West version) without getting his kiester handed to him? I THINK NOT!! (Besides, he's WAYYY too pretty to pull off the rugged masculinity that is required to portray Superman correctly...and his Clark Kent was a little TOO mild-mannered for my tastes!!)

3. The Writing. You know, there are times when a little camp can do wonders for a fantasy show (after all, we ARE talking about a series in which the protaganist is a blue-tights wearing avenger who flies thru the air and leads a double-life, right?), but this show just wallowed in silliness, insulting not only to the general populace, but to people who loved these characters from the comics, movies and the SUPERIOR 1950s version!!

4. The Wedding. This is ALWAYS death on regular tv shows...why'd they think it would be different here? Furthermore, who the hell wants to watch a show about a superhero with earthbound marriage problems, anyway? The whole point about superheroes is that they can do these amazing things to aid people in need...seeing them having to deal with grownup hassles like inlaws and quarrels deadens the fantasy people have for these characters.

And that, boys and girls, is why I absolutely HATE "Lois and Clark".

But that's just me...

If you don't like it, then why the he** are you here? If we wanted venom spewed we would have asked for it. Yes you are entitled to not like the show, but was it necessary to spread your hatred around? BTW you sound jealous of Dean! LOL!

BTW, there are some of us who do enjoy seeing Superman trying to lead a normal life, IMO it would be boring if all he did all day long was save people, he does have a life besides saving people.

Topanga, I agree with you, the guy is very jealous of Dean, but of course like the wimp he is, he is going to deny it.

True, he's acting like he speaks for all of us. L&C have a huge following even to this day, I bet he's never even watched one minute of the show, but yet bashes it, I can't stand people who do that.
