Default Where is everyone??!

beware for an Off-Topic!
hey guys...
I'm sooo bored here at work. It's a really really sloooowwwwww day. CRAP! It's even slower than I thought- I've only taken 2 orders in the past 2 hours and 20 minutes that I've been here. it's slower than a Sunday!!

I've been talking on the chit chat boards here at the sitcoms online forum all morning... I can't believe some people never owned any laserdiscs.
ok, that seemed random....

I have two songs running through my head at the same time:
"Save A Prayer" by Duran Duran, and "Life Is Highway" by Tom Cochrane.... lol they're alternating back and forth, and sometimes mixing in with each other. weird!

hmmmm....
So how is everyone today?
Hey losthighway- did you get my reply to your PM yesterday? I know the board was acting up yesterday- I actually saw your reply to mine from the night before, by accident.- The board decided not to tell me I had a new message. I think it had a case of the Mondays. hehehe.
But yeah, I didn't say anything interesting... just wondering if you got it because the board was spazzing yesterday...

lalalaaaa..

anyway, someone post something so i'm not so bored!!

Hey Krista!

I'm doing okay. Just working, etc. I'm going to see Al Yankovic on August 9. Yay!

I've been listening to his new CD & have all the songs running thru my head...

My house is full of this crap
Shows up in bubblewrap most every day
I bought it on ebay
Tell me why I need another pet rock
Tell me why I got that Alf alarm clock
Tell me why I bid on Shatner's old toupee
They had it on ebay

(You gotta sing it to that "I want it thatta way" I think that's Nsync, not sure.

That alternates with "yo ho, yo ho a pirate's life for me"

Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

Love,

Wing<><

Yo, Krista! Wanna trade jobs? I'm sick to death of being a supermarket cashier! I'd love a job where I can just sit around and fool around on the computer and not deal with moody, rude, cranky customers.

lol that's funny.
and that "i want it that way" song was by Backstreet Boys.
(don't aske me how I know that. LOL)

and Snoopy- I would much rather be doing what I'm doing now at work than to work at a store, even tho I get bored here sometimes. hehe.
I worked at an amusement park for 2 summers in a row.. that was the worst job ever when it comes to having to deal with rude people. blah.

Oopsie! Don't worry, I won't ask!

OK, I *know* this one is Avril Lavigne's "Complicated" --

How was I supposed to know we were both related?
If I knew she was my cousin we never would've dated!
What to do now
Should I go ahead and propose, and get hitched
and have kids with eleven toes?
And move to Alabama where that kind of thing is tolerated?
No, no, no

I gotta million of 'em!

BTW, marrying your cousin is legal in Florida.

OK, gambling isn't allowed in this state, but marrying your cousin is??!! I've got a story, and don't think I'm strange, but we've got this cousin named Russell and my sister & I always thought he was cute, even when we were younger. Well, when we went up to NJ a few years ago for my uncle's(Russell's dad)funeral, my sister & I were both saying, "Whew, Russell's still looking good". I mean nothing would ever come of it. Eeew!!! That's a Springer episode waiting to happen!!!

Hi, Krista!! You're probably already home, but hi anyway!!!

hi! lol

gambling isn't allowed in Florida? That just seems weird because here in CT we have not one, but two casinos. I went to them both on my 21st birthday. lol. ...I got bored quickly. hahaha.
but I won about $100 on the slot machines. woohoo!

Hee hee... well, let me clarify... you wouldn't get arrested for marrying your cousin. But *nobody* does it!

I think they still do in Europe, though.

And that gambling thing actually makes perfect sense... gambling is a vice-and-a-half! We have the lottery, though. Go figure!

Well, goodness gracious, sinatrastar... I'm not sure if I can tell you why you're "wrong" - I mean, I find it hard to understand how anybody could not love Wings... but then again, tastes differ.

Maybe you only saw a few of the later episodes, which most agree weren't as funny and perhaps the characters had lost some of their zing because the show had been going for 8 seasons.

I have rarely laughed as hard as I have at some of "Wings" eps... and it's one of the few sitcoms that can also make me cry, so IMO the acting is great. Just one example - if I watched "The Taming of the Shrew" from Season 3 right now, I would laugh my head off through most of it, but then I'll cry like a baby at the end when Helen explains to Joe why she's hurting so badly.

Steven Weber, Tim Daly & Crystal Bernard have all had subsequent successful projects... Crystal has recently focused more on her singing & race car driving, I think. Tim was recently on an ep of "Judging Amy."

Well, that's all I can say. It's not for everybody - but for me, it hit the spot.

Love,

Wing<><

OK - back to the cousins. Guess what? Connecticut allows cousins to marry too! Hee hee. Even so, does anybody actually do this? I guess so since there's this whole organization called "Cousins United to Defeat Discriminating Laws"

Here's a map showing the status of each state's law:

http://www.cuddleinternational.org/laws/law-index.html

I know, I know, useless information.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I've been hanging out here posting "Wings" messages just to kill time until "Full House" premiers on NICK!

I don't think you're wrong or stupid for not liking Wings. Everyone has different tastes. I feel the same way about Friends that you do about Wings. I have nothing against the people who DO love Friends though. I also don't waste my time going to fan boards for shows I don't like and bash them. Maybe what's wrong with you is you have a little too much free time on your hands I suggest you go find some forum for a show you do like and head over there.
