Default What is NBC going to do when Fraiser and Friends are no longer on the

AIR in 2004? They will definitely need a new plan for some more Hit Sitcoms to compete with ABC and CBS.

I think that "Joey" and "Coupling" will be the shows that become the next "Fraiser" and "Friends" (aka.NBC's "Flagship Shows")

NBC's Thursday Night Lineup In 2004
8:00-Joey (Confirmed)
8:30-Scrubs (Possibly)
9:00-Will & Grace (100% Chance)
9:30-Coupling (It seems like it would stay there)

I don't think the "Joey" spinoff will last long at all. "Scrubs" is a mild hit, but it doesn't have the power "Frasier"/"Friends" has/had. "Will & Grace" is showing aging signs and I don't know how long it'll last, so I think NBC may be headed for a few sitcom down years

Why? When frasier spun off it didn't have the power that Cheers or Seinfeld had...

As much as I like the character of Joey, Friends is an ensemble show. Joey plays off the other 5. While I hope him the best, I'm afraid the spin-off won't last that long. I would like it to, but don't think it will.

Cheers was also but I agree with you.It just won't be the same Joey without Chandler or his other "Friends".

I'll say they should have marathons every night of some of their old shows, such as The Brady Brides, Diff'rent Strokes, The Monkees, Our House, and Taxi.

LOL, that would be nice but I don't see that happening unfortunately.

Well, Frasier don't get all that great ratings anymore. They do, do better then most NBC Tuesday shows but not that much better. So I don't think NBC is sweating "Frasier" all that much.
On to "Friends" NBC is hoping that "Joey" will be like the early years of "Frasier" with top ratings and eventually becoming the number 1 show. They still have "Will and Grace" the 3rd highest rated sitcom last season. And they are hoping on the British hit Americanized "Coupling" which some critics have been saying the American one is better than they British one.

Will and Grace finished at number 3 for the 2002-03 season?
