Shows Bob Hope was on/guested on? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Since the legendary actor/comedian/author/father/all-round-good-guy Bob Hope passed away last night, I think it would be neat to see where all he appeared.

I'll start it off... he guested on "The Golden Girls" as Rose's "father," as well as the former partner of a magician on that episode.

Anyone else...

^That episode is hilarious, even though Hope was on it for just a bit. We also can forget his I Love Lucy apperances. I local FOX station is airing them right now.

From 1963 to 1967,Bob hosted an anthology series on NBC called Bob Hope Presents The Chrysler Theater. These were shows that featured Bob presenting the shows and even appearing in a few episodes of the show. Some of the shows were comedies,others were dramas,also every once in a while a Bob Hope special. He will be definitely be missed by everyone!!!

Highway to Heaven--Supervisor Angel in a flashback episode where Heaven's memory files were lost so the main angel (Michael Landon) had to fill Bob in, of course at the end he thank's him for the memories.

BTW, that Get Smart episode he was on is probably my favorite one for many reasons including his cameo.

I wanted to add, I wished TV Land would inquire with Hope Enterprises about airing some old Hope material--especially the Christmas Specials. A caller brought this up last night with Linda Hope and I think we should bombard TV Land with that idea.

One sketch stands out when I was growing up--It was a "Mutiny on the Bounty" sketch with John Denver in 1987.

I wished TV Land would air more classic stuff on a regular basis period if possible, like "The Colgate Comedy Hour," "Your Show of Shows," "Phil Silvers," "Life of Riley," "Jack Benny," etc.

Bob Hope died at 100. He appeared on a radio show, "Philco Radio Time" with Bing Crosby and Dorothy Lamour from the road films. He also appeared on a radio show "Command Performance" which he did a 2-hour Christmas show and an episode "**** Tracy in B-Flat". I remember that special which he did a spoof of CNN called HNN, the Hope News Network.
