there is a unaired black and white pilot episode of happy days that has never been seen in years and it has never been aired on tv. the story and characters in the show is different. it's about ron howard is living in a home with hiss wife and two friends in the 1950s. this episode is very unknown today because it has never been seen in over 2 decades and i think it is a lostepilot episode.

Where did you hear about this? I Dont think its true because Black and White pretty much ended in the late 60's, At the time Ron was still playing Opie on the Andy Griffith show and i dont think he could pass as a married man.
Their was a pilot for Happy Days though, It was an episode of Love American Style. Ron Howard, Anson Williams and Marion Ross were all their but Mr. C And Joanie were played by different people. Their was no Fonzie Or Ralph. |

There is an unaired pilot that I have, but it is not in black & white. There is a different character playing Joanie because Erin Moran hadn't signed her contract yet (different even from the Joanie on Love American Style), and some of the scenes have been changed. It is basically episode 1 with some small changes; the dinner scene is longer, and the scenes at Arnolds are longer. If you ever look closely at season 1 Opening credits, you will see Marion with a different hair style that was only seen in the unaired pilot; it goes down around her face, kind of like a 20's flapper haircut. This is the unaired pilot that I am aware of. I also have the Love American Style episode that was the true pilot with a different Howard & Joanie.

Um.. I dont think there was ever a B&W episode. Could it be youre thinking of something else? And jemazur I dont know what youre talking about either.
Only 'non' Happy Days episode I know of, is the Love, American Style 'pilot.'

Actually, I was incorrect by calling it an unaired pilot. It was an unaired version of episode 1, "All the Way" I believe it was basically taped as a trial run, as they knew there would be a different Joanie in the regular version. The only true pilot that I have seen is the Love American Style episode. I heard that there was an earlier 15 minute sketch on Love American Style that was a previous attempt, but I have never run across it.
