Post Everything on my mind

Ok, I've been reading this board day after day and I really think this is the best message board to come to BUT there are some things that have been bothering me...
Ok, everyone here has different opinions about characters, but why does everyone feel that they have to dislike a certain character, whether its Pippa of Bev. Ann, I mean a TRUE fan likes the show inside and out and pretty much likes every character. Also, we should be thrilled that Nick plays the FOL because in many countries people love the FOL and it doesnt even play there. and here we are complaining about a few missed episodes or if FOL doesnt win on MYOS. I mean, we should be so lucky that FOl is even airing. For many of the people on this board, they didnt start liking FOL until it aired on nick at nite in sept. And also, what if the cast comes here once in a while and reads the messages here? People are critisizing nancy mckeons nose job (if she even got one) and many other aspects of the show. Its not just this board, its the egroups also, but Im just saying that we should thknk of he positive things FOL has done for us, not the negative. We should be thrilled that it is airing now because up until about 4 months ago, many people barely knew it existed. Be thankful for what you have and not what "sucks" about the show. True fans shoudl appreciate everything, including all of the characters, seasons, cast members PERSONAL lives, etc....
Sorry if I ofended anyone im just letting out whats been bothering me.

Jo: Blair, if you like that song so much, then why are you doing that to it?
Blair: Doing what?
Jo: Singing it like Julie Andrews.

Then look on the shelf
There might be a clue

ALSO, about the reunion, WHO CARES!!! if you were Nancy and eveone allways refered to you as being on the FOL wouldnt it make you mad? I mean, this is her CAREER, and she just wants whats best for it. She wants to move on, and its hard when the FOL is still so popular. If she comes to the reunion, great, if she gets killed off, we'll live, if she doesnt show up, oh well. We'll move on, and so will the cast members. Lets just wait and see what happens. For a show that ended 13 years ago, I dont think a 2 hour renuion in the year 2001 will change how we look at the show back in the 80s/

Oh ,you must be angry about my topic, 'What do you hate most?'. I'm sorry, but a true fan knows deep down that the show is'nt perfect. You can't say the show did'nt make mistakes or have it's bad years, because it really did.
And a fan is somebody who can admit the show had it's faults, but love it anyway. That's what I think. Because I really do dislike Beverly Ann and Andy and Pippa, etc. But I respect you to disagree with me. Where would the fun be if we all agreed on absolutely everything?
And why does a 'TRUE' fan have to love the show inside out? I believe that i'm a pretty big fan of the show, but why must I have to love the show inside out to become a 'TRUE' fan? Is'nt that being a bit selfish?
And yes, I think it's sorta wrong for people to criticize the actresses personal issues, but I doubt that if one of the actresses actually did surf on over here, that they'd be shocked or offended. Do you think they were offended when they were called 'The Fats of Life'? Of course they were, but they got over it. So I don't think you should be looking out for they're own self-esteem. That's they're own job.
So, don't get so high-strung about everything, okay. Sorry if I offended you, but' i'm just lettin' out what's been bothering me'.

Sorry if some of the negative posts bother you, but this is A DISCUSSION BOARD. How are we supposed to discuss if all we do is talk about why this show is perfect. Sorry, but I'm going to have to agree with Cokies. The ability to remain objective about a subject that you're passionate about does not dissuade you from being a true fan.

Look, I don't know what anyone is trying to prove, but one day, I can get Lisa or Molly to look at this site. You forget that we have the freedom of speech and a free will from God. If anyone is a "true fan" they don't have to think the show is perfect. The show has its faults. Now, the part about the personal lives. LEt the actors handle themselves. This site has no effect on them whatsoever. They can get over things. If Jo is killed out, we will live, I promise. The show will go on. It will hurt ratings, but it will go on. Now, Nick at Nite has had some problems, but they show some of the best shows. I watch FOL, L & S, The Jeffersons, I Love Lucy, and a lot more. MYOS isn't that bad. FOL came on three times tonight. And we get a bunch of it during the week. I'm sorry if I am contradicting anyone, but I love FOL and so do a lot of my friends. I have a favorite character too, Blair, or Lisa. She has been my role model forever. Now, can we drop the topics that are like this?

There were only two things that were ever wrong with the show.

1)Some of the lpots in the first season
2)Rick

fol rocks, and thats that~ yes it is true that it isnt prefect, but nothing is prefect (IMO it is as close as it comes to prefect) and with some of the mess up, everyone makes mistakes!! sure i was mad when NaN started showing it once a night, but atleast they show it still, when i can barley see the wonder years anymore! there is no character that I do not like, i think that are really funny and have there sepert personalitys that make them up to be them...wait i lied there is one charcter i didnt like....BOOTS! she got on my nerves so much but i think that was the writers way of making her~ i am just really happy that my family had family friends over that night and i was really bored and i just started to watch FOL!

------------------
Nat: Hello sailor!

Tootie: hot stuff coming through, and the pizza's are warm too!

Jinny: if you pinch my a$$ one more time, i'll kick your's

Jinny: i think i am going to give up men
Magda: you, give up sex?
Jinny: i didn't say i was giving up sex, i just said i was giving up men! to tell you the truth i kinda like the idea of becoming intamate with something that comes with a money-back gaurentee!

Blair: thunder thighs is hanging up her spikes...
Sue Ann: and you just gave me a great idea were to put them

I totally agree! For one thing, if you are a true fan of the show, you need to learn to accept both it's good and bad traits. Not all the characters are my favorites, but I love the show anyway and I appreciate what each character adds to the show. About the reunion, I would be bummed if Jo was killed off, but hey,it isn't called "The Facts of Life" for nothing. Death is just part of life. Also, to whoever said people were critisizing Nancy's nose job, I know I wasn't, I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed it. I also think that we should be thankful that NAN airs FOL, and so what if they skip a few eps, it's not the end of the world as we know it. So, to sum it all up, appreciate the characters, deal with death, be thankful and stop complaing!

Alex: You must be Blair.
Jo: She sure does. No one else wants to be.
