Talking Favorite Bernice moment!

As you all may or may not know, Bernice is one of my favorite characters from this show. I just love wacky, off-the-wall humor, and Bernice just bubbled over with it, sort of like a crazed Rose Nylund gone wacko! LOL! Anyway, I was just curious what everyones favorite "Bernice moments" are. I can't think of any in particular, but any ep where she walks into Sugabaker, plunks on the couch and just spouts off about some crazy thing that barely makes sense is good enough for me...Alice Ghostley rocks, and I hope her health takes a turn for the better very soon...

Hrrm, I think my favorite moment(s) of hers (that I can think of right now) is the way she acts on "The Wilderness Experience" episode.

Another funny moment came on last night's episode, where she comes in and starts babbling something as usual, but when all she sees is everyone crying (they've been asked to design a friends funeral), she wonders what's wrong...they tell her they've had a real shock and are all sad...her response:

"Oh, that's too bad...have a Chiclet"

I LMAO!! The other episode had some good moments, especially with the crazy guy, but I can't seem to remember any particular quotes...

From the "Tonado Watch" episode:

Bernice: *looking at some records* "Sittin' on the Dock of the Bay", "Party Girl", "Hound Dog". Where'd these come from?

Charlene: Um, they're from Bill's Batchelor party.

Bernice: *starts flailing her arms in the air* Oh, hoo! I'll be puttin' on my dancin' shoes!

You kinda have to see it.:

Yeah that episode was hilarious ....

One of my favorite Bernice moments was in the episode where Bernice's neice wants to declare her incompetent....and she has to have that sanity hearing. She drinks champaigne before the hearing which makes her clever. But whats funny is that during the hearing it appears everyone else is crazy and Bernice isn't.

Julia(to Bernice's neice)"I'm sayin' this is the South ,and where proud of our crazy people......in the south they dont ask if you have crazy people in your family they just ask which side their on."

MaryJo"Seems to me you've based your entire case on two Dicks and a hat"

(if you've seen the episode you know why she said that)

Okay, I really need to ask something. Keep in mind during this post that I've watched MAYBE two episodes where Charlene and Suzanne left:

When did Bernice EVER sing "Black man, black man"? I've seen probably every episode (Except what I mentioned above) and I've never seen her say that.

Ok remeber the one where Bill comes home from the Persian Gulf War. Charlene comes out of the storage room and drops all the catalogs on the floor and runs into his arms thanking god he is home. Then Bernice says..

"Thank heavens your home. Where's he been"-Bernice
"Bernice, you remember Bill's been in the persian Gulf"-Julia
"Oh that's right, Operation Panty Shield."-Bernice

One of my favorite Bernice moments is in the episode where Charlene gives birth:

Paramedic: "Lady, did you know that it's a federal offense to utilize an emergency vehicle under false pretenses?"

Bernice: "Did you know that if the Avon lady falls down on your property, you have to pay for it?"

(not sure if I got the "false pretenses" term right, but you get the point, lol).

------------------------------------

Oh, and I also love "And Now, Here's Bernice"---especially early on when she dances in "la-la"ing the "Tonight Show" theme song! "La la la laaaaaaaa laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, la la la la laaaaaaaaaaaaaa!"

And then later on when she treats the others like a whore house staff---she's classic there!

------------------------------------

And I can't remember what episode this one's from---maybe "Anthony's Graduation"---when she tells Anthony, "I love you, Anthony. You're like an illegitimate son to me." Lol!
