Default Dream Theme Schedules

Seeing as how a lot of people love to play network executive and make up their own schedules, I thought I'd go at it one better and try to add a little twist to the idea and that is to make up the schedules by following a specific theme. For example, in the "Dream Lineup" thread that follows this one further down the page, I made a schedule that was composed entirely of what I thought were the greatest family series from the 1950s to today. If that theme doesn't appeal to you, then you can try one of the options that I've suggested. Remember that every series you choose has to have that specific theme in common. Here are your options. Pick only one from the following group:

1. TV's Greatest Families

2. Black and White Classics (All series must be in B & W)

3a. Sitcoms For Men Only

3b. Sitcoms For Women Only

4. TV's Strangest Sitcoms and Characters

5. Too Good For TV: Series that were cancelled too soon

6. Too Good For TV 2: The most underrated shows of all time

7. Lost Classics: Series that don't get shown often enough.

8. Best of the Big 3: Series must be either all ABC or all NBC or all CBS shows from the 1950s to today.

9. Alphabet Soup: All titles must start with the same letter.

10. Cartoon Classics

11. Make up your own theme. I might use it myself in a future post.

To get you started, here's my fictional Nick At Nite schedule that I used a week ago on the "Dream Lineups" thread featuring my favorite TV families. Your schedule can be as long or as short as you want it to be. It's your choice. Here was mine:

9:00 Cosby Show (1980s)
9:30 Family Ties (1980s)
10:00 Leave It To Beaver (1950s)
10:30 My Three Sons (1960s)
11:00 The Brady Bunch (1970s)
11:30 The Partridge Family (1970s)
12:00 Make Room For Daddy (1950s)
12:30 Donna Reed (1960s)
1:00 Married With Children (1990s)
1:30 The Simpsons (1990s)
2:00 Everybody Loves Raymond (2000s)
2:30 8 Simple Rules (2000s)
3:00 Happy Days (1970s)
3:30 Ozzie and Harriet (1950s)
4:00 Father Knows Best (1950s)
4:30 All In The Family (1970s)
5:00 Malcolm In The Middle (2000s)
5:30 That 70s Show (2000s)

Good luck and have fun!

Default Re: Dream Theme Schedules

I just thought of another theme that you might want to try and work with. First, here's my original theme list:

Quote:

To that group, you can now add this one as a possible choice:

12. It Was A Very Good Year---All your picks have to be from the same year. Any year will do whether it's 1965, 1982, 2003, or whenever. Whether it's the first or last season or somewhere in between for a particular series doesn't matter.
