Crying is NOT cool - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Ok, I'm a guy, so you'll have to explain this to me. For some reason on every board I read where someone lists their fav moments or episodes, it's always the sad ones. I've even heard people say that they LIKE to see the girls cry. Why? It only makes me mad. Every time eddie showed up, jo ended up crying. I hated those episodes. I just wanted to jump through the screen and kick his tail, and I felt bad for jo. Please explain this perverse satisfaction people get from seeing others in pain.

Wow, you sound like you have some pent up aggression in you. I'm kidding, I think the reason why so many people like the eps when one of the girls cries is because we (most of us as girls as well) can relate to how they're feeling. It's like we know how they feel because we've been there, done that, ourselves. It kind of strikes a cord you know?

You're right, Vesperal. Crying is not cool. I'd much rather laugh my ass off than cry a river, but you do have to hand it to a show (or a particular episode or whatever) that gets you so emotional because you care so much for the characters. What causes this? Good storylines, good writing, and great acting.

Crying does not alwasy equate pain. There are tears of joy.

People cry for different reasons. Whether it's pain, joy, or PMS. And the reason I like the moments when they cry is because I'm a sucker for emotional moments in sitcoms. The crying moments show just what good friends all four of the girls are and good friends are extremely hard to find.

I'm a boy and beleive there is nothing wrong will a good cry. It's good for the soul. You should try it sometime. I wish I could cry more ofen but the most I ever acomplise is a simpethetic shiver. Go figure.

I don't know really, I mean, I love a good cry. But of course i'd pick the paint fight as the greatest moment, and as you know that is'nt a sad moment. Yet, I agree with Miller15 that a sad moment can be really, really good with good storylines, good writing and great acting. And I think we can agree that some of the acting during these 'sad moments' have been especially superb(i.e: 'Double Standard', 'Graduation', 'Teacher's Pet' etc...)So you see what I mean, even though i'd like to laugh my ass off, a good cry does'nt hurt either.
