Default $2.30

Why in the world was Claire who was supposed to be a successful Lawyer, crawling on the floor looking for $2.30 and tearing up the bedroom? Rudy took the money off the counter and Claire could have just gave the man who dropped off her dry cleaning a $20 bill. Claire was acting like she was broke-LOL I can't believe a Lawyer on her knees looking for that little bit of money. Anyone Agree?

Nope.

She wasn't upset because she is "broke". She was upset because she thought she lost something.
Didn't she hug and kiss Rudy after saying "Oh thank you! I didn't misplace my wallet" or something like that?

Yeah but since she was a sucessful lawyer, she could have told the man "you know I can't seem to find $2.30 so let me just give u a 20 dollar bill and keep the change. PLus the man who dropped off her dry cleaning was supposed to get a tip anyway. Claire had the exact amount of money like she was struggling to make ends meet-LOL

yeah, you are right and definetly since they brought it to the house you would probably give him like a 5 dollar tip.

Disagree.

Being broke had nothing to do with. She simply left some change on the counter and when she went looking for it, it was gone. I've done this plenty of times . I'm sure others have done it as well. You place something down and come back for it but it's gone and then go crazy looking for it. But in the end it all worked out.

But the point is, Claire should have forgot all about the $2.30 once the man still gave her the dry cleaning. The man said don't worry about it so why was she tearing up the bedroom up looking for that little bit of money-LOL And the other thing that was funny was how Claire had the EXACT amount-$18 and some change_LOL If you are a Lawyer there is no need to have the exact change for a dry cleaning bill.

Yeah, it was a WEIRD reaction to me. Sure Clair was confused that she set something down and it just disappeared, but she actually got frazzled over chump change! These people sure had strange reactions toward stuff. And her planning on giving the exact change was R-U-D-E.

Yeah the Huxtables were extremely tight with money ....especially when it came to giving money to the kids. I can't believe that Rudy was afraid to ask her mom or dad in the first place for a measley $2.30.

Think about it, she 's a lawyer, she's supposed to be on top of everything, and shere she thought she lost her memory and forgot where she put it. As a lawyer she has to remember many laws and statutes which she does successfully, so 2.30 cents which she doesn't remember she lost is proof that her memory isn't as good as she always thought. It wasn't a big deal though, but hey, that's how some people are.

I saw this dumb episode again last night. Still can't believe Claire was on her knees looking for $2.30 and was a lawyer. Florida Evans didn't have a job and never crawled around the house looking for $2.30-LOL Claire was so strange.
