She sadly committed suicide in 1995, though.

Wow, that's really cool! She was talented too - she wrote some of the funniest shows!

That's very sad about her taking her own life...was there a reason?

As I stated in another post, I remember reading that she had terminal cancer. She may have been in terrible pain. It was never said why she did it. I am just speculating that this drove her to it.

Oh, that's very sad...

It's off topic, but I also read that when Vivian Vance's bone cancer finally got to be too much for her in the late 70s, she wanted to just end it herself, and essentially that's what she did by refusing anymore treatmeant...
