Default Board Cliques?

Who else feels that there are cliques kind of on the SO message boards. Like there are the popular people who are friends with alot of people and then there are the less popular people who barely ever get replied to and don't know many people. I kind of feel like there is an inner circle... Just a thought

I think so. There are a bunch of different cliques/groups/clubs here.

There probably are.

On the other hand, there are people I'm aware of and like, but rarely reply to because somehow they never post messages I have much to say about. Some of them may think I don't like them, but that's not the case. There could be several explanations why someone doesn't get many replies.

I also think there is sort of an "old school" group here that are sort of over looked because of all the new people... (waves at Chris )

I feel that way to thats one of MANY reasons why I left for awhile (well that and the lying, the immaturity, the not allowing people to have thier own opinions) but for me I just needed a breather for awhile and came back when things cooled down
anyways back on topic I DO feel that way but I think you get that in every Message board really (well except for NKU My Friend Ashley knows what I mean about that)

Yah, but I think the reason why people tend to be closer to others is because they talk to them online, other than SO. I try not to be cliquey, because when I first came here I felt leftout too.

Yes, you were away for a bit.

Welcome back.

I feel that the board have always been split between the younger posters and the older ones. Heck, it doesn't matter to me what demographic you belong to, as long as we can all live peacefully.

And you agree with everything I say.

Hmm.. I dunno, maybe. Yah, I talk to a lot of ones my age, but Im pretty friendly with the "older" ones. I think a lot of it has to do with the group of people who were here way back when, and the ones who are kinda recent.

I agee with TJL. Agree with everything I say, and we'll get along fine. I also agree with JoJoJo. Us old school people have been shat upon by large swarms of newbies.

Yes there are a few cliques. Believe me, I've seen them evolve! The first big clique here was the "facts of life" clique, does anyone remember that, or have I been here too long?

Yeah, but its almost guaranteed that half the newbies wont even come back. Only a small handful stick around. But Ive noticed too that lately its like an attack of the newbies.
