Sad I am horrified!!!

I would like to share something very sad that I heard today that happened here in Montreal.
A friend told me about it and I was moved to tears. A father, aged 26 years, left his two year old daughter in the car for more than 8 hours, saying he forgot about her!!! Well, she died and he was arrested on criminal charges. How can someone forget his/her own child in a car like that Gosh, I am sad...but also pretty angry about it.

That happened 2 or 3 summers ago here. This working couple would alternate taking their toddler to daycare before work. It was the father's turn, and he forget and left the baby in the back seat in the parking lot where he worked.
Hours later, someone saw the baby who had died due to the heat.
It was sad. I didn't follow the story to the end, but I don't think the father had charges filed against him.

That is so sad. Irresponsible people like that shouldn't be allowed to breed.

Apparently the mother was at work when it happened, and the father was supposed to drive his daughter to daycare and left her in the car. It may have been Toronto, sorry about my possible error, but Toronto is about 6 hours away from here and with everything else that has been happening lately, this was horrifying to hear.
Thanks for your comments, for the people that replied to this, I am so glad I am not alone in my feelings about this.

The REALLY sad thing is that it wasnt even on the news here, because it happens so often.
