is it me, or was this show a definate sign that the show was past it's prime? I had been waiting to see this one for a long time figuring it would be hysterical, and I personally didn't care for the "old" Blair, Jo, Natalie, Tootie, Andy and Beverly Ann.
The only good thing I could see about it was that I bet the people who made the Beverly Hillbillies movie had seen this episode when deciding to cast Cloris as Granny. Cause the 100 year old Beverly Ann was a lot like Granny, LOL |

I liked Beverly Ann better as the old 'Granny.' I was cracking up when she thought the doorbell was the telephone.
I like these newer episodes. They are definitely different than the Eastland years but I'd already seen the early years when I was a kid and am seeing all of these new episodes for the first time so I am enjoying them. |

This episode was painful to watch. I realize not every ep is going to be a gem -- but when an ancient Beverly Ann is the high point of the show ("I found the cat.") you know the end is in sight.

Even though this episode made its point about the show ending soon, I still thought it was pretty funny

I thought it was funny when Jo said"You wanna keep people away from here stand outside with your robe open"and "Harold when you finish that cemetary I'll help you in."
Everything was funny especially Natalie's joke"I've seen them before but I wouldn't call them flat." |

I know the episode was a few weeks ago but I wanted to comment on it. Do you remember the episode called "the ratings game" where Blair updates her computer dating system and Jo tampers with it. In the episode, Blair had a friend that helped her with the computer program and her name was Muffy.
I thought Muffy would have been a good name for Blair in this episode. Jo made me think of Vicki Lawrence from the Carol Burnette show. Beverly Ann was at her best. Beverly Ann: If your going to keep humming I'm going to hang up. Interesting episode, if you have a dry sense of humor. Almost like the writers were begining to run out of story ideas. |
