The police launch a citywide manhunt for three escaped convicts in the first installment of a two-part third-season finale.
Series creator Deborah Joy Levine co-wrote the action-packed and emotional episode, which, as usual, focuses on both the professional and private lives of the detectives. While Magda's adulterous relationship with Jonah results in a pregnancy scare, Jinny deals with the upsetting news that her estranged husband is planning a move to Tucson. But these matters of the heart are no longer a priority when a U.S. Marshal becomes the first victim in a killing spree by the trio of criminals, one of whom vows to murder Nate. (VCR Plus+ 135379)

That referal to Nate certainly does make the second part preview make sense when it says something to the effect that a tragedy could ge between C.D. and Nate. Perhaps it's time for a Nate/C.D. cliffhanger this season?
