A spokesman for Warner Brothers denied to SCI FI Wire a rumor on the Cinescape/Coming Attractions Web site that it was close to pulling the plug on its proposed Catwoman movie, which is to star Oscar winner Halle Berry as the costumed comic-book character. "The Catwoman piece ... is pure rumor," the spokesman said. "Warner Brothers will begin filming as planned on Sept 10, 2003, in Vancouver. We are very excited about this film." The Catwoman movie is based on the DC Comics character.
