It'd be kind of weird and might've made it jump the shark. A lot of shows jumped when they went to color.

I like it in B&W. It wouldn't seem like a 50's show if it was in color.

I don't know. I think it would just be too weird to see everything in color. I think it would be nice to see maybe one episode in color, just to see how it looks. But, it just wouldn't be right in color. And I agree, it probably would jump-the-shark at that point, too.

If there were some magic way of viewing the existing eps in true color, I'd certainly be interested in seeing that.

I like the old 50's shows in the B&W. To me that is one of the attractions.

Like most fans, I rather like it in b&w simply because that's how the show was filmed. But a few eps that I would like to see in color:
"Wally's New Suit"-- to see just how 'loud' that cheap suit really was, since it doesn't really look that outrageous in b&w.
"School Sweater"-- for good view of the letterman's sweater, Mayfield High's colors.
"Wally's Practical Joke"-- to see Wally's, Eddie's, and Lumpy's cars.
"Beaver's First Date"-- the dance scene-- especially Julie Foster in that dress -- would just look better in color.

I agree, except that I tend to think of LITB as a 50's/60's show (which it really is). I often make the mistake of looking for it as listed under the 1960's sitcoms here at the Sitcoms boards (maybe because I tend to favor the later seasons a bit more)....

Well, perhaps I'm the only here who makes this error

While I agree with those who prefer the show to remain in good old b/w, I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of the episodes in color, just to see Benji covered in green paint, or Lumpy's "sickly purple" heap. Or just seeing what the inside of each of the two houses looked like in color. But the entire series in color.......noooooo, leave well enough alone!

Of course, as my user name implies, I'm a huge fan of black and white tv/movies, so I wouldn't want the show in color. But you do make a good point about seeing Julie in color in that dress. Not a bad idea at all.
