Default All Star Game

who watched it? I was surprised that the AL won, I am happy though, I watched a few innings, then shut it off...they were lose 2-1 when I turned it off

do people think that everyone selected should have a chance to play? because not everyone did, and thats not fair!

my NL lost.........we should have won the game

that's ok, and i also think that everyone who made it as an all-star should have received some playing time.

It was a good game. No, I don't think that everyone who was selected has to get into the game. That's why what happened last year (ending the game in a tie) happened. Not that many years ago it wasn't a given that all the players would get into the game. They used to manage the game more like they did this time; leaving some of the starters in longer. It makes for a more interesting game, as far as I'm concerned. I doubt that the players who didn't play feel slighted. Maybe some of their fans do but, that the breaks in Bigs Leagues.

I think it's cool that Hank Blalock hit the game-winning home-run for the A.L. The guy was a rookie last year, but was injured a lot of the time, so he's VERY new; and the fact that he got to do this is awesome.

BTW, did anyone think the Fox reporter at the end of the game was dumb? Blalock said something like, "...I'd never hit against {pitcher's name}, I'd only seen him on Sportscenter..." and at the end of the interview, the genius reporter goes, "You mean on Fox too, right? Ha-haha..". How stupid is that? Luckliy Blalock had a good repsonse; "Ha, you know what I mean."

I also thought it was cool what Blalock did. Blalock, btw, graduated from Rancho Bernardo High School here in San Diego. It's about 10-15 minutes away from where I live.

It was definitely a great game, and I'm glad the AL won. I actually missed the first two innings, but fortunately nothing much seemed to happen in the first few, so I guess I didn't miss much. One thing I liked about this game was that there didn't seem to be as much joking around, and clowning around on the players part this year. I guess giving the winning team home field advantage in the playoffs wasn't such a bad idea afterall. If home field advantage means the two teams will play like this every year, then I'm positive that it was the right decision!
