Are people allowed to make buddy icons? Or do you just have to find them on the web?

you can make them yourself if theyre small enough. i dunno how to make the animated ones, but i wish i did.

i saw the COOLEST professor snape animated icon the other day, but i didnt change my icon to it for some strange reason. now i cant find it. it said "unfair? - most likely... evil? - probably... sexy? - absolutely." if anyone sees it, by chance, let me know. or if ya wanna make it for me, that'd be cool, too.

But, is there anyone there that knows how to make animated ones? and if so, its a worth a shot to ask.. Can u make one like this:

I tried it, but I give up. Lots of pictures means lots of frames, lots of frames means bigger file size. I didn't do the numbers as separate frames because with the pictures and everything it'd be 17 frames and that would probably be about 25 kb I'm guessing. And the AIM buddy icon size is 7 kb and 50 x 50 pixels. So someone else whos really really really good with these things please try because I tried resizing it to get the file size smaller but by the time I did you couldn't even see the pictures. lol. well anyway, just for the hell of it, here it is but you won't be able to use it because its like 16 kb......sorry I'm not helpful, but I did try.
