I am curious as to those, like myself, who have read both "Addams Family" novels from the 60's, what your opinions are on the books. I love Jack Sharkey's "Addams Family," the first of the tv books. It is much in keeping with the tv series, for the most part. It tells about the Addams family moving into their home, finding Thing, and redecorating their home into the familiar abode that we know so well. WF Miksch's book on the other hand, "Addams Family Strikes Back" may be considered rare to acquire but I did not like it. As I have said before, that particular book paints the family in essence as a clan of evil devil worshippers. I have always thought of the family as "strange" and Charles Addams' cartoons as deliciously macabre, but I have never thought of them as the second book portrays them to be. Also, the book features many instances where one or more of the family raises their voice to one another and argues, something that rarely happened on the show. Cousin Itt is not portrayed as being small or as speaking as he does on the tv show; he is almost quite the opposite in the book. What are your thoughts on the two tv books?
