Workplace Comedy. Since my three favorite sitcoms are "NewsRadio" "Andy Richter Controls the Universe" and "Wings".
Second would be Family Comedy. Followed by Buddy/Relationship Comedy. |

I love family shows such as The Dick Van Dyke Show, All In The Family, The Jeffersons, Perfect Strangers or workplace comedies such Mary Tyler Moore, Barney Miller, Cheers or Coach.
I love Seinfeld, Curb Your Enthusiasm, King of Queens and Will & Grace. Just leave the KIDS out of it. Everybody Loves Raymond does a good job at staying an adult comedy although the couple has children. |

Well, my number one fave would be Buddy/Relationship, but stressing more on the Buddy part over the relationship part. In other words, I like the more older shows in that type, such as "Three's Company," "Laverne & Shirley," and, when you think about it, "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman." I also love family sitcoms, of all times, such as "The Donna Reed Show," "Dennis the Menace," "Hazel," "The Partridge Family," "Step by Step," and "8 Simple Rules." I also love workplace shows, mainly the ones from the 70s and early 80s though, like "Alice," "The Bob Newhart Show," "Barney Miller," and "Benson."

I like all types of comedies, although this might sound really stupid....
what would be considered a single camera/no laughtrack comedy?? Would Larry Sanders fit in that category?? And wasn't Happy Days originally shot with a single camera/no laughtrack?? If so.... then I defiantely like all types of comedy. With the exception of certain shows from certain genres. |
