On 7/10, the DigitalBits.com posted some dates for upcoming TV sets from Fox. We've got some new Fox TV street dates for you today. Look for Dark Angel: Season 2 on October 21st, The X-Files: Season 8 on November 4, King of the Hill: Season 2 on November 11 and M.A.S.H: Season Five, Firefly: The Complete Series and Buffy: Season 5 all on December 9th. Now some of you might wonder why we took so long to post the news when it seems like everyone else was posting it? Well, we prefer to look into news items before we post it, and it took awhile to hear back from Fox (no doubt they're busy working on TV sets!). It's amazing how fast the news spread from site to site, yet The Bits wasn't ever credited. This is a common problem with news sites; not giving credit where credit is due, and it's a shame. |

Here's a cover that hasn't made the rounds much yet: we thought you might like to finally see the box art for The X-Files: The Complete Eighth Season (due Nov. 4th):

Fans who want to own every episode of The X-Files will be pleased to know that the Season 8 release comes with this announcement about plans for the Season 9 DVD set: ![]() Besides being able to plan on a 6-disc S9 set for next Spring, though, Fox is also offering a mail-in rebate to try to tempt the less intense fans to complete their search for "The Truth". ![]() In case that's too small to read, it states that there is a $20 rebate for purchasing any 2 seasons, a $40 rebate for buying 3, and a $60 rebate when you buy any 4 seasons of The X-Files. This offer is available by mail only, and specificly notes that it's not to be redeemed in stores. Stay tuned, and we'll have further details about Season 9 when Fox Home Video makes their formal announcement about this release. |
