Sad Sexy Bathing Suit gal in McHale's Episode

Hiya Folks:

I'm new to this site, so please bear with me, especially in terms of post-etiquette.

I'm looking to find out some things about a specific episode of McHale's Navy, so if anyone knows what the heck I'm talking about, please let me know.

I remember an episode when i was very young - and I may have this a bit wrong since I've never seen this episode in syndication - where a gal (movie star?) who was trying to make some hot press, sneaks aboard the Pt 73. She hides below deck and secretly slips into a sexy bathing suit (leopard skin?) and heels. When she decides to come out of hiding, she shows up on deck while the enemy is attacking.

I was thinking it was episode #40 "Is There a Doctor in the Hut," but that's only a guess from reading all the episode descriptions.

If anyone knows which episode this might be, and who the actress is, please let me know.

I was thinking she was either Jeannine Riley, or someone who looked like her(?)

thanx a bunch,
albabe

I recall a late ep when a German sub is going to attack until the captain of the sub notices several sexy lades in bathing suits standing on the deck of PT73.

It might have been Lisa Seagram. You can look thru the episode list and see. She was in "Is There a Doctor in the Hut." Although, I'm not sure if she's the one you're thinking of.

My best,

I haven't seen "McHales Navy" in YEARS
but I remember that episode; and I think you have a couple things wrong. I'm sure; though.
I think she took something for the PT 73s engine and refused to give it back until the crew agreed to pose for some pictures with her, or something. But then, the enemy started firing on them, and she gave it back so they could leave.
Like I said; I may be wrong about all that; as I haven't seen the show in YEARS.

Hiya folks:

I completely forgot about posting this in 2006, and ran across it searching for something else.

I was wondering that since there are 3 seasons out now, if anyone has run across anything resembling my episode description.

Raquel Welch appeared in the third season's "McHale, the Desk Commander".

I believe the episode you described is titled "A Star Falls on Taratupa," It starred Jean Hale as an actress who responds to Gruber's letter in order to get some free publicity. However, in the end, her secretary played by Fay DeWitt ends up getting the spotlight. I hope this helps. Better late than never.
