Heck.... Bradys did it,
Alf did it,
The Fonz did it,
even Mork and Mindy did it,

so.... Why not have Cheers: The Animated Series

Of course it would fit nowhere in the Cheers timeline, and Coach and Woody would exist together.

I decided not to have Rebecca, thinking Diane would be a much better fit.

With Sam, Woody, Norm, Cliff, Frasier, and Carla as the Magnificent Six. (like the Power Rangers, only hilarious)

Coach is like Zordon from Power Rangers, he never leaves the bar, but is always part of the team

Gary is the bad guy, with his own no-name barflys to fight.

Robin Colcord is the British Spy trying to steal Diane's family jewels.

Coach reveals to Sam that "I am your father"

That sound great!!!! I know they did a spoof of the Cheers crew on the simpsons that was pretty funny, but a whole animated series would be hilarious! All those characters are easy to characaturize, they are all so funny and dynamic.

Diane is the maiden that is always in trouble and Sam (like the Red Ranger....sorry i'm extremely too into the post...it's late.....lol can't sleep) always rescue's her but never reveals his true Identity.
