WILL SASSO AND PATRICK WARBURTON JOIN THE CAST OF ABC'S CRITICALLY ACCLAIMED COMEDY, "LESS THAN PERFECT"

Will Sasso (MADtv) has been added as a series regular and Patrick Warburton (Seinfeld) as a recurring guest star to the cast of ABC's hit comedy, "Less Than Perfect," it was announced today by Susan Lyne, president, ABC Entertainment, during the network's annual presentation to the Television Critics Association. The critically acclaimed comedy is returning this fall for its second season.

Sasso will become a series regular, reprising his role as Carl, Claude's (Sara Rue) lovable oaf of a next door neighbor, who will work as assistant manager of the cafeteria at GBN network.

Warburton will join the cast in a multi-episode arc as an opinionated on-air commentator who gets romantically involved with Lydia (Andrea Parker).

"Less Than Perfect" stars Sara Rue as Claude Casey, Zachary Levi as Kipp Romano, Sherri Shepherd as Ramona Platt, Andrea Parker as Lydia West, Andy Dick as Owen Kronsky and Eric Roberts as Will Butler.

Nina Wass, Gene Stein, Terri Minsky and Christine Zander serve as executive producers. "Less Than Perfect," which is filmed before an audience, is from Touchstone Television.

I thought Kipp's last name was Stedman...

That means a reunion for Andy Dick and Patrick Warburton. Warburton played Johnny Johnson in five episodes of "NewsRadio" which of course, co-starred Andy Dick.

I just hope these cast additions don't deter from the great chemistry this cast has developed. I beleive in the old saying if it ain't broke, don't fix it. That having been said Patrick Warburton was wonderful in his previous recurring roles as Puddy on Seinfeld, and as Johnny Johnson on Newsradio. And Will Sasso was very funny on Mad TV. So who knows, it might just work out.
