FF : Need To Know (CD/Nate( - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Hey everybody..this fic is picking up right where we left off in tonights ep...with CD and Nate...

Nate pulled back from the kiss, a minute later, stunned and shocked, yet happy to say the least. "CD, what just-" he stopped as she silenced him with another long kiss. His hand travled up to her face, cupping it gently as one of her handsrested on the back of his neck, bringing him closer.
Finally, both needing air, they pulled back, their breathing ragged, they looked at eachtoher.
"So you been playin 'Miss Step Aside' all this time?"
CD couldn't help but raise her lips in a relief filled smile.
"And all this time I thought you weren't interested," he said quietly, intertwining their hands together , he gave hers a light squeeze.
"I...I...just didnt' want to get hurt again...." CD said softly, looking down at their hands. "Nate if this doens't-"
"It will,"
"But-"
"CD," Nate mumbled, cutting her off with another hard, passionate kiss. After a few more minutes, he pulled back and smiled softly at her. "Come on..let's go talk,"

go talk eh? mhuahahaha! LOL this is cooliez though, actually me and my twinny just talked on the phone for a while and we decided to write a fanfic that left of after the kiss, but we have a completely different idea, but then I come here and this is there already, which is cool! So keep it going! Maybe I'm gonna post another part to Jeanie and my fic... cuz I'm in sucha good mood... THEY KISSED! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!

okay here's more:

3 people in line, and two coffees later, CD and Nate found themselves in the hospital caffeteria, seated at a table, by the window overlooking the city.
An uncomfortable silence followed a few sips, and then finally Nate broke the tension. "Why did you....why did you lie..and say you didn't care?"
CD took another sip of her coffee and loooked out the window. Well, she had done it. She took the leap, and now she was utterly terrified of screwing it up. "Because...I wanted..you to be happy and you seemed happy with Lily...and....I didn't want to tell you, and then you..not," she took a deep breath, "feel the same way,"
Nate gave her a reassuring smile and reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "Lily's a nice girl, but...she's not the one I've wanted to be with," he said softly.
CD looked at him, a sly grin playing at the corner of her mouth. "Who is the one you want to be with then?"
Nate smiled and shook his head. "Well...I'll give a ya clue," he said, leaning across the table and capturing her lips in a soft kiss. Pulling back, just a little, he whispered, "Got it yet?"
"I think I need one more clue,"
Nate leaned in for another kiss, but before there lips could meet, gun shots filled the air. Reaching across the table, Nate pulled CD to the ground and covered her with himself. Screaming could be heard, and loud shouts down the hall. Nate quickly scanned there area, trying to find a way to keep CD safe. "Come on," he whispered, rolling off her, he grabbed her hand and dragged her behind him, back towards where they served the food. Sliding under the top board*, CD right behind him, he pushed through the swinging door, back into the kitchen area, where, surprisingly, no one was.
"We gotta hide," he murmured.
"Nate, we're cops," CD hissed, yanking her hand out of his. "Raina and Captain are out there-"
Nate covered her mouth with his hand. "And we are much better to them alive than dead. Whatever is going on, we need to let whoever this people are think they have everybody, okay?"
CD nodded slowly, and both jumped slightly as they heard gunfire close by.
"Check the kitchen," they heard somebody yell...

k, here's some more:

A young Hispanic man, busted into the kitchen, 9mm drawn and racing around the kitchen looking for a target. Nothing came to his eyes that drew attention, and it surprised him that no one was there. His eyes glanced over the oven and stoves, freezer door, the fridge, and cooking utensils...nothing. Backing out of the room, he yelled, "Clear," and hurried back into the hallways.

CD, now holding her gun tightly at her side, couldn't help the chills that went up and down her as she pressed her back to the wall of the freezer. "Naaate, for your sake, you bettter be able to....to get this door open from the inside," she stammered, her teeth chattering somewhat.
Nate peeked out the small frosted window and scanned the kitchen as best he could. Seeing no one, he tightened his grip on his gun and quietly opened the door.
Scooting out first, he did a full check and then motioned for CD to join him. "Do you have your cell phone?" he asked her.
"No, you?"
"Left it in the car, you're not allowed to use cell phones in the hospital," he murmured, walking closer to the swinging door.
"What do we do Nate?" CD asked, following him closely.
Nate took a deep breath, exhaling slowly. "I wanna get to Raina and Captain, make sure they're all right, but then again, that might be too dangerous,"
"What if we split-"
"No, I dont' wanna chance that,"
"Chance what?"
"Something could happen to either one of us and I-"
"All right, all right, you've made your point, now dont' waste time argueing, we need a plan,"
Nate sighed again, then looked at CD. "We take um down,"
CD arched her eyebrows and looked at him.
"One by one, together..we can do it," Nate whispered.
"You're crazy,'
"You got a better idea?"
"No,"
Nate couldn't help it, leaning in, his hand went to the back of her neck, bringing her closer, as he planted a full, firm kiss on her lips. Then, pulling back just as quickly, he said in a low, firm voice. "Let's roll,"
Pushing the door open slightly, Nate listened for any voices, or footsteps. None came to his ears, and so, with years of training, he silently slipped through the door, keeping down underneath the food area, where they served teh food, so they woudln't be seen. He could hear CD's steady breathing behind him and kept crawling until he got to the top board. Looking back at CD, they locked gazes, and then he turned back and stuck his head out in the opening..
