Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angel
Vya'shan Chronicles Vya'shan: Tales of the Dragonlord Older than humanity, older than the modern world...the last of the Saurs...last of the reptile kings. Archaeology tells us that dinosaurs once walked the Earth...Buffy and Angel tell us that the world is a younger one, where magic and the powers of light and darkness vie for dominance at all times, over all things...the years of existence for this world not in billions, but in hundreds of thousands, perhaps. The question stands on whether the two speak as differently of history as we've thought. If one "dinosaur," terrible lizard....still lived...condemned by One Beyond Imagination to walk the halls of Earth "until the Reckoning Hour," for something unknown done in the distant past....what would it be like to view humanity, both its coming and its legacy...from his eyes? If he were to have acquired the ability to change physical form, like a certain Transylvanian vampire for one did in the late Middle Ages...what would it be like to interact with him, through their eyes? A Buffy the Vampire Slayer speculative fiction, Part I. What might very well be, behind so many veils, and behind all the history. Vya'shan: Dragon Ring "Your power is rooted in darkness," Dracula told Buffy once. She once saw it face to face, the Power of the Slayer, brought forth to annihilate forces of darkness on a scale scarcely imagined. A power itself, beyond imagination. The Power of the Chosen One. What if she became a slave...? A slave to a simple band of metal and inset jewel, created solely for her...her kind. The Slayer of the Generation...controlled by the Dragon of History. So many Slayers, trying to find, and fight for, something or someone Higher....or at least More Powerful...than they? Part II, the difficulty indeed of turning down the draw of submitting to an all but invincible power. And not every one of them turning it down. Would Buffy? Vya'shan: Master/Slayer To be owned by another. A despicable thing, so many of us are told. A disgusting thing, to inspire all decent beings to wrath upon the barest hint of it. A thing brought up in more than a thousand romance novels written...and written by women. "Owned mind, body and soul," a phrase seen more than once or twice... What if it was a Slayer who was owned, by a being far from demon, but also far from human? The Vya'shan Chronicles, Part III. Dark Visitors Series Shadowlands: Dimensions If ours is not the only world, what would you see if you gazed through the looking glass? Shadowlands: Invasion If ours is not the only world, what would happen if monsters from another one came to conquer ours? What if they weren't at all like the enemies we've been able to understand? Blood Sun Rising "Red sky in the morning, sailors take warning." Most have heard of the idea of a dark mirror, and ultimate terror lying within rather than without. Suppose a mirror unlike any other allowed "you" to come into our world from another, and terrorize...you? Dopplegangland, eat your heart out. "Inside the House": Short Buffy Horror Stories Buffy's faced ghosts and demons galore. What about the Zodiac Killer (and those like him), who's attacks would come with no warning? What, in the event of an outbreak of a super-virus? Killer bees? What would a Slayer do when facing True Horrors? Otherlands Series Chicago Vampire Angel takes a look at a vampire with a soul that's now out of the scene from Sunnydale, one with a long and colorful history. Here's another one, of one who obviously DOESN'T have a soul. "Regional City" The city itself, frightening...Los Angeles meets Tokyo meets post-apocalyptic Seattle....in Nevada, where gambling is legalized. "Worse than monsters" Not all monsters are physical. Some are spiritual, and no Slayer power in the universe can save a Chosen One who's claimed by them. Crossover Stories Spirit of the Bat: Gotham City, 1887 Angelus once took a trip to America, to see if the legends of "The Bat" stalking the nights, and evil beings, of the city Gotham City were true. They were. A fanfic set one year before the graphic novel Gotham by Gaslight. "The Wrong Car" So many Buffy stories have her traveling across the country to meet family in the East, and getting involved in who knows what kind of adventures. Okay. What if they showed up in a sleeply little Pennsylvania town, near the State Police's Shed B? Hello, Stephen King. Hello, 1954 Buick Roadmaster. Private Garden Not horror...and kind of undescribable. A crossover...with Narnia. |
