When I met her back in May, she asked me for my address so she could send me an autographed picture of herself since we didn't have anything for her to sign for me....

WELLLLLLLLLLLL, look what arrived for me today in the mail!!!! I nearly had a heart attack! I am SOOOOOOOO happy!!!!!

I should explain the birthday thing... I wrote a letter to Betty, requesting an autographed pic of her and I told her that my birthday would be coming up really soon and could she please wish me a happy birthday?

Yes, Harper got the photo for me through his personal connection with Carol. He also got a personalized autographed photo for my 12 year old granddaughter(who shares her birthday, April 26). I am very grateful to him............Again, A Big thank you Chris!

Hey I Am A New Person To This Board I Have Been A Fan Of Vicki Lawrence And Mama For As Long As I Can Remember Even Tho I Am Just 16 I Always Recorded Mama's Family Episodes Before I Headed To School And Watched Them When I Got Home From School But Yea Anyways I Saw Her Show Alot Of Times Never Got To Meet Her Or Not Even Got To Shake Her Hand And I Was So Depressed B/C She Is My All Time Favorite Actress Ever But The Show Was Funny All The Times I Saw It And Plus The Show Was In Las Vegas Maybe That Was Another Reason They Wouldn't Let Many People Go See Her But I Have So Many Pictures It's Scary Lolz But Kewl She Had This Really Cute But Tacky Like Outfit On I Will Get Pix Up Soon And Maybe Make A Site For Her But For Any Of You Who Haven't Seen The Show You Must Go See It. Yup, you have a better chance of meeting Vicki in person if she's performing in a small town, like she did with mine (Only 7,000 people live here) and if she performs at a small casino or other location. I have had a very strong desire since I was a young girl to act, so I would love to work with Vicki in ANY capacity.

This doesn't have anything to do with Vicki or the show, but it does have to do with celebs wishing you a happy birthday! LaWanda Page wished me a happy birthday on this photo. In my letter I mentioned that my birthday is 2 days after hers (I sent the letter around the time of my birthday).

Welcome! I'm gonna get to see her show on April 16th, a day after my bday. Vicki is my second favorite actress. I can't wait!!! It sounds like her show is really going to be good.

A side note; She and Redd Foxx were really long time good friends. Hard to believe, huh?

He got her on his show. Also, I watched a biography of Foxx(he was formally known for his ribald, raunchy humor) but it was stated that LaWanda was much worse than he was in her act!
