Default Which opening did you like best?

Which opening did you like best?

My personal fav is the zoo because I love Teri and I like how they changed the music to add that extra effect (which I can't explain but if you were to listen to the ending credits at the zoo its the first thing you hear)

My favorite opening was the beach and pier opening. If I had to choose, I'd say the pier version was my favorite.

I liked the first two versions of the theme song better. I hated the short version of the theme used for seasons 7 and 8 in syndication. It sounded horrible, IMO. The themes for seasons 1 - 5 were great, and so was the long version of the season 6 - 8 one.

I think I liked the one on the pier the best. I don't even really know why, though. I also liked the rare ending credits for that where instead of Jack, Janet and Chrissy walking away it's with them all on the bumper cars. I think that one's only showed on a few eps though...

I read the book "Come and knock on our door," about the opening with the beach and the zoo.

You know how Jack falls off his bike into the sand after looking at the pretty girl walking by in the beach opening? Well, the girl is actually Suzanne Somers (Chrissy) in a black wig.

In the zoo opening, when Jack falls off the fence while staring at the lady walking by him, the lady is actually Richard Kline's (Larry's) real life wife.

Also in the zoo opening, Janet is standing with a baby feeding some birds I believe, the baby is John Ritter's real life son.

I thought those were interesting tid bits.

Does anyone know what I am talking about with that extra sound effect? I just wanted to know if I was the only one in the world who ever noticed this? Like I said they play in the beginning of the ending credits and also the beginning of the long opening zoo credits and throughout the opening credits. One place where is comes is right after the line "laughter is calling for you"

Also (and this really sounds crazy) did anyone ever think that their were like backup singers, which I think sound like little kids in the first part of the ending zoo credits (on the trolley) towards the end of that part, it would be during the part of when its music playing the "come and knock on our door, come and knock our door" part.

Wow, its really sad that I've noticed all this but for some reason throughout my growing up, seasons 6-8 have all been on tv during the summer time, even when I was a little kid like 10, 12 years ago and I hardly have ever gotten to watch seasons 1-3.

The part I liked about the pier besides the fact that I liked that theme song the best was the part at the end where Janet and Jack turn around, and Jack's shirt says something about going on a date, and Janet's says no...and then Chrissy pops in and hers says "Blondes prefer Gentlemen"...it's sorta corny, but I've always liked that part!

Default the zoo

my favorites are the zoo and the pier, but i think i like the zoo better. I like it when Mr. Furley starts growling like the lion and the kid looks at him funny. It was also funny when Larry was getting a picture with Janet, and Janet moved and Larry leaned his head against the elephant.

in the pier one, i like the part where larry gets into the bumper car and it's really a guy.
