Tonight while watching Three's Company on NAN, they played two different versions of the Zoo opening. One was longer and showed the gang coming to the zoo and had longer shots of each character, for instance in the Richard Kline Credit they showed him and Joyce together by the elephant with John Ritter taking a picture or with Don Knotts they showed this kid watching him make fun of the lion. Whats up with this and was this only for the first few shows??

That's a good question, i never knew either. You know the scene with Janet and Larry at the elephant was never showed when I used to watched TC on my local rv station. Same thing with Mr. Furley and the Lion. So when i started watching TC on N@N, that was the very first time i saw those scenes. Did you see the opening credits when Jack is walking with Janet and Chrissy and Lana is sitting on the bench and sticks her foot ou and trips Jack? I saw that for the first time last year. |

I believe the opening was shortened for syndication. Sometimes N@N airs the long version, sometimes the short version. I've noticed that they rarely use the long opening on N@N for the seventh and eighth season episodes, and instead use the shortened version. -shrug- Does anyone know if the short version of the opening was ever aired during it's original run?
