June shopping - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

I was watching last night's episode "The Sweatshirt Monsters" and I kick out of it when June said she had plans to go shopping with a friend and Ward calmly almost instinctively told her where the checkbook was and June claimed she didn't plan on buying anything and then changed her mind and just grined at each other. What suprised me was he didn't give her a limit, What a sweetheart! I guess I'm just used to Lucy overspending and Ricky going ballistic. Not that Ricky don't buy anything for Lucy but Ward seems to be more calm about it.

Well June didn't seem like the type that would overspend and that's probably why Ward didn't give her a limit.

she is similar to lucy in the episode when Wally and Beaver are supposed to paint the garbage cans. June ends up doing them and when ward finds out she says "oh, my reward is on it's way, that new hat you told me not to buy until the 1st of the month"

Oh yeah I remember that episode. Lucy would have bought it when Ricky told her not to, the rebel that she was! LOL! June is a good girl and I suppose that is why Ward is so easy going.
