One of my all time fav episodes of "Bewitched", is the fourth season Christmas episode "Humbug Not To Be Spoken Here". guest starring the wonderful Charles lane.
I'd be interested in others thoughts about what I think is a very special and touching episode. I always feel "Bewitched" actually peaked with this heart warming episode. That last shot of the story that holds on Elizabeth with that beautiful smile on her face sharing that lovely secret with Charles Lane is one of the best images ever to be captured on "Bewitched" in my belief. |

Yes, this is a great episode! Of course, on Bewitched, Christmas eps are - as a rule - pretty sensational. But this happens to be my favorite of all the Christmas episodes because of all the cute and sweet moments between Sam and Darrin (and Sam, Darrin, and Tabitha).

It is indeed a terrific episode - and Charles Lane is indeed wonderful in it.
The smile he and EM share at the end would melt anyone. Awww...

Yes it's a great ep and of course Charles Lane has the copyright on curmudgeonly characters. Mortimor Soups not work on XMAS Eve--hogwash! Bah humbug.
But, IMO, the most charming XMAS Bewitched ep is in Season One, where Sam, in an extremely rare instance, reveals herself as a witch. She does this with a bitter orphaned boy--to make him believe in the joy of life and love again. |

^ That is indeed a good one. I've always felt that Billy Mumy was one of the best child actors ever, like Ron Howard. They picked the perfect little boy for that episode.

I'm looking forward to digging out those episodes and watching them as I write out my Christmas cards and wrap gifts.
