A young Bonnie Franklin was on an episode of "The Munsters". She played a sorority girl. Ken Osmond of "Leave it to Beaver" also appeared as a fraternity pledge.

Thanks for the heads up. I don't remember seeing her or Ken on the show but, now I'll keep my eyes really open....

Wow, that's very interesting, hawaii !
Do you happen to know, by any chance, if either Bonnie or Ken were given on-screen credit for their appearances, or did they play only bit parts? I'd love to see that episode... |

cool, thanks for posting those!
Bonnie was also in some episodes of "Gidget"... those episodes, of course, are in color, but we have the Gidget series on DVD, so I'll see if I can get some pics of her from that. . Thanks again for posting the pics... you can definitely tell it's her, especially with that expression on her face in the last pic, but I'm not sure if I would have made the connection by just watching the Munsters ep itself. When ODaaT first came on, I always wondered where they got Bonnie Franklin from ... I remember thinking "I've never seen her before in anything", but apparently, I HAD seen her before in quite a few shows, I just never knew it... In addition to her appearance on "The Munsters", Bonnie had guest spots in shows such as "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." , "Gidget" and "Please Don't Eat The Daisies" |

Talk about high hair
She reminds me of Mary-Lou Retton. (Doesnt look as if she was a redhead back then???)

Wow Bonnie still looked the same in that picture.
I understand she walked into Norman Lear's office and that was how she got the part on ODAAT. There was another actress in mind when they put the show together. |

And in an interesting bit of trivia, in the 80's she went on to direct several episodes of "The Munsters Today."

I remember those episodes. It was great seeing Bonnie Franklin in shows BEFORE she became well known as Ann Romano.
