Am I too late to ask the question? What ever happened to Heshimu the young black actor who played Jason on the show?

That's still an extremely long time ago to hear anything from someone who just up and disappeared from Hollywood. His brother Mwako at least got to be in One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest.

Heshimu Cumbuka was the given Swahili name of Arlington Dudley Banks.

Several people-search websites give his last known address as an apartment in Hawthorne, California (LA area), but that listing for him has not been updated since 1985. Some landline phone numbers under his name, in the same general location, are as recent as 2010-2016, but these search sites' phone listings are very prone to mix people up or be out-of-date.

A Facebook commenter in 2011 said he had died, but did not give a date or details, and that account's public profile has not been updated since 2013.

I would love to know what happened to him. As I have said elsewhere, I hope he is well, or at least that he had a good life.

He has many friends with the Banks name, but no mention of Arlington/Heshimu.
