Cool What's in YOUR avatar?

I know this has been addressed about a gazillion times but I guess we can do this again.

My current one is a screen grab of a Mystery Science Theater 3000 episode featuring a movie called "The Brute Man." The actor you see there is Rondo Hatton. Hatton played the title character (who isn't referred to as "The Brute Man" but as The Creeper) who gets revenge on several people whom he holds responsible for his facial disfigurement during his college years. I don't know if you can notice but that is not makeup that he is wearing. You see after he fought in World War I, he developed a disease called Acromegaly. This illness causes bones in the hands, feet, and face to grow and grow substantially larger than normal. (Actor Paul Benedict, who played Bentley on TV's "The Jeffersons" developed this disease but by then there was a cure for it.) Universal Studios noticed Hatton and his disfigured face and signed him to a movie contract. Unfortunately, Universal Pictures took advantage of him and exploited his disease by putting him in monster movies and stuff. Hatton was intensely displeased by this but was under contract and couldn't do anything about it. "The Brute Man" was his last film and he died before it was released.

Is that on the cover of "The John Lennon Collection CD?" Also wasn't 12/8/80 the day he was shot?

Yes, and yes. Liebovitz was shooting her now infamous Rolling Stone photo session that day, and that was the photo that was chosen for the cover of the currently out-of-print "John Lennon Collection" compilation.

This is probably the most famous shot from the afforementioned photo session. It made the cover of the January 22, 1981 edition of Rolling Stone, with no words. The first (and I believe only) time Rolling Stone has featured a textless cover.

My avatar is just a logo of the Chicago Bulls and a scrolling marquee of "#23 - Michael Jordan." Boy, do I remember the days of the "three-peats": 1991, 1992, and 1993 also 1996, 1997, and 1998.

My avatar is a pic of Bonnie Bedelia, my favorite actress. I lightened and blurred her face a bit. I like it.

My avatar shows Richard Fish, Nelle Porter, and Coretta Lipp who were all characters from Ally McBeal. I got the picture from a David E. Kelley Shows Fanlisting.

My avatar is of course, Hawkeye Pierce having a martini at the Officer's club.
I scanned it from my souvenier program from the M*A*S*H Smithsonian exhibit.
