The San Antonio Spurs had J. Kidd here yesterday trying to make him sign up for the Spurs team... In my opinion this is a stupid idea. Then Parker told a buddy who told the NY times that he would demand a trade if they brought in Kidd...
Tony Parker is way better than Kidd in my opinion. Why would they want him anyway when they have Parker and Ginobili?

I personally cannot stand Jason Kidd. He just looks scary to me and that blow-a-kiss-at-the-net thing, I just can't stand it.
*hitting him when he goes up to the free throw line*

I know he is so stupid with his dumba$$ superstitions!
And his wife and BIG headed kid get on my nerves. He should stay in Jersey. Isn't that like being a traitor by leaving NJ and going to the team that beat them in the finals... I say BOOOOOO to J. Kidd

I agree....i don't want J.Kidd on the Spurs and it sucks they are maybe willing to let Parker go just to get a player they don't need.
I think Tony Parker is a way better player...IMO if San Antonio does trade it would be a big mistake SO i say GO Parker!!! ![]()

Parker is WAYYYYYY better and WAYYYYYY younger! If they let him go for Kidd they will definately regret it! And It also pisses me off that Tim Duncan is trying to recruit KLidd as well I thought he was gonna be on Tony's side...

Monarc i agree with everything u said. Tony Parker shouldn't leave the Spurs & the Spurs are stupid for talkin to Jason Kidd. They don't need Jason. Tony is a better jumpshooter than him & he's younger. Jason should stay his ass in Jersey & finish his career there. I like the team the Nets have with Jason. They've been to the finals twice since Jason's been there. What more does he want? That is stupid of him to blow a kiss everytime he goes to the free throw line LOL. Karl Malone talkin to himself when he goes to the free throw line is stupid too & so is the way Anthony Mason shoots his free throws hahahahahahahahahaha.

They should move Parker to 2 guard. That way, he can score more and thus feel like he's making a contribution and Jason Kidd can do what he does best--dish out the ball. The Spurs are going to need every ounce of star-power if they want to even think about competing with the Lakers next year.

The Spurs would have to be idiots to get rid of Tony Parker. I mean they just won a Championship with this team, why the heck would they want to break it up? If it ain't broken, don't fix it. Parker is only 20 years old, and I'm sure has atleast 15 good years in him. Kidd on the other hand is 30, and probably only has about 7 good years left in him. Tony played just as good, possibly even better than Kidd in the Finals this year, and this is only his second year. Imagine how good he's going to get within the next few years. Jason wasn't nearly this good in his second year. Parker is only going to get better, while I believe Jason is at his peak. If The Spurs can keep the team they've got now, I believe they can become a dynasty like the Lakers. But I don't think that will happen if they give up Parker.

Why would the Spurs put Tony Parker at the 2 if they get Jason Kidd? So i guess Stephen Jackson would come off the bench right? That ain't happening. The Spurs better keep Stephen starting at the shooting guard spot. The Spurs don't need Jason. They just need a big man. That's why they were trying to get Jermaine O Neal & Rasho Nesterovic but Jermaine & Rasho are staying put with Indiana & Minnesota respectively. Minnesota just signed Rasho to a new contract yesterday i saw on ESPN.

Kidd is definitely a good player, but Parker does everything Kidd does (assists, lay-ups), plus has a better shot, so there's no reason to trade Parker for Kidd. And yes, Parker is definitely younger and could get even better than he is now; while Kidd's, since he's at the age, skill might start to go down. Not drastically, but still, down.

Somebody posted a topic in the sports forum on rapmusic.com that in order for Jason Kidd to stay in Jersey, he wants Byron Scott out. Jason Kidd has lost his damn mind LOL. Byron Scott ain't going nowhere. He's a good coach. Only thing i don't like about Byron is that he dogged Stephen Jackson to the media when Stephen played in Jersey & he didn't hardly play Stephen that much. Other than that Byron's a nice guy & he was a damn good basketball player when he played with the Lakers all those yrs. I've lost all respect for Jason now. Who does he think he is?

Well it turns out it was a stupid rumor or bad reporting by two local newspapers, NY Post and The Bergen Record I believe. Kidd and Rod Thorn just stated there was no talk of Kidd saying Scott should be fired. In fact, looks like Kidd will re-sign next week and the Nets are brining in big man Alonzo Mourning. An announcement on that will come later today. Nets and Lakers in the finals if that happens. |
