Default Best Roseanne Tags

For those not in the know, the "tag" is the last 30 seconds of each episode or so. Many sitcoms just let the credits roll over scenes of the show, some show outtakes (increasingly rare), while some try to send the episode off with a bang.

I'm not sure if any tv show did it before "Roseanne," but no other show did it better. Pratically every tag was priceless. Share your favorites here.

My personal fav is from season seven when Traci Lords got hired at the diner. The running joke of the episode was nobody but Leon cleaning the grease trap.

the tag was a take off of a porn video (complete with different credit graphics, Roseanne & Jackie in wigs) as the girls try to seduce a man who just walked in. (Jackie: I need somebody to teach me how to be naughty...). In FF, they get him down on the floor and seemingly tie hime up. Cut to Roseanne smoking a cigarette, then a pan shot to the man cleaning out the grease trap! It was so hilarious.

Another favorite was at the diner with Lords also. Early in the episode Traci is describing how she can't work by the counter because her ex and her "did it" there. In the tag, Jackie and Fred are trying to spice up their sex lives by doing it in the diner, but they end up not doing it. After they leave, a man stands up from behind the counter and says something or other. We expect Traci to stand up next, but ti turns out to be Leon! The audience was howling, it was so funny.

I think one of my personal favorites is perhaps not the wackiest, but definitely amusing, when Tiny Tim the ukelele guy was showing David how it was done. Dan comes in, smashes both ukeleles, and then leaves. Tiny Tim says that those kinds of things happen a lot, gets out another ukelele, and continues.

my favorite was from the episode Sherwood Schwartz: A Loving Tribute. with Bob Denver, Dawn Wells, Russell Johnson and Tina Louise. It was really funny, especially Bob Denver as Jackie.

There were so many good ones. The one when the new Becky came in and they were sitting around watching Bewitched.....

And the one where Dan drinks the rotten milk was classic.

Were the shots in that sequence composite shots?

I mean, were they filmed seperately for some reason (I.E. Sara and Lecy's conflicting schedules?), because in one shot, they're sitting on the couch, and the lower half of one of their legs is missing

Anyway, my favorite Tag is...well, at least I think it was a tag...

When Sara took over the part of Becky, and everyone was sitting in the living room talking about Darren on Bewitched, and how they all liked the first Darren better, and Becky casually replies, "Well, I liked the second Darren MUCH better..."

I have a few, but the ones I remember at the moment are when they did the send up of cops on the episode where DJ joyrides in Roseanne's car.

The other was after "Girl Talk" which itself is a classic episode, when Roseanne, Becky and Jackie are acting like men and Dan, Mark and Fred are acting like women.

I also enjoyed the porno takeoff mentioned before.

The Cops takeoff was drop dead hilarious! Especially the end of the scene as the camera focuses on Roseanne's ass as she stractches it! I hope TBS gets around to running that one again before it drops Roseanne

The one where the're wathing bewitched and the patty duke spoof were good but my favourite is in the episode when fred is complaining that jackie dresses andy like a girl and the tag is 16 years in the future and the're talking about how he used to complain about it and how andys football game is coming up. Out walks a teenage girl, fred doesn't notice that andys a girl and then asks why he drinks so much.

One of my favorite tags is when Luc and Laura and sitting in the restaurant with Roseanne and Dan abd Roseanne says something like her life is a lot like theirs because she had a daughter that looks completely different. (Anyone who is a General Hospital fan loves that one.) Anyone remember that word for word? I know it is different...maybe she says something about her being gone for 3 years.

I have many that I like... but the best is the closing tag of the one where Jackie finds out they won the lottery and she goes out the door with the kids seats without the kids in them... LOL then the beginning tag of the next one where she goes over to Roseanne and Roseanne comes out without a shirt on and they start acting crazy...
