I think, in this case the spinoff show (Gomer Pyle,USMC) was better than the the show it spun off from.

Both in a way. Black and white years for both of them. Color years would be Gomer.

Both shows were okay, but The Andy Griffith Show was a little bit better due entirely to Don Knotts.
