Question Is Jo all talk?

Here's a question for you all. Jo was always threatening to "loosen some teeth" and slap people around. Did they ever actually show her hitting someone? The most she ever did, as far as I know, is make a fist at someone. (Maybe it went against FOL's anti-violent, sitcom standards...)

I don't think she's all talk. Remember in that episode when the girls were in jail, she was pretty tough with that girl who took Blair's watch. I think she had to be pretty tough growing up in the Bronx.

Graveyard-

I agree. She stood up to that girl in jail more than once and that took guts. Then she made that quote, "you cane take the girl out of the Bronx, but you can't take the Bronx out of the girl." So that leads you to believe she's street smart and tough. I think she takled the talked and could very well walk the walk.

lol, i noticed that too, though, that she seems to be all talk. it does seem that way, but u can tell by the way she acts, and lots of times what she's GOING TO do (until someone stops her. lol), that she's not all talk. i think that, anyway.

Thumbs up

I tried posting earlier, but it didn't work. Anyway I think that Jo isn't all talk, I think that she would "loosen some teeth". She was pretty tough to that girl who stole Blair's watch. I think she could've held her own, if it came to that. And she did beat off that one guy who took her to the country club, instead of Blair. They breed them tough in the Bronx (So I hear)

No Jo is defintely not all talk. She hit Blair in the episode when Jo wanted to be a nun. Blair was badgering Jo with her belief that God did not exist. She really tried Jo and Jo took her fist and punched her out and the show went to commercial.

No way! They better show that episode this time around. I think they will because last time I seem to remember it was originally scheduled to air and then didn't. I always wanted to see Jo hit Blair.

TVAddict: Dude I am sooo with you! That would be awesome to see jo hit blair! MAn they better show that ep! Yeah for a while I thought Jo was all talk but I don't think she is because, the show probably didn't wanna have any violence or anything, and she came pretty close to hittin Blair in "the new girl" part 1. And about the Fonz, I think the same rule applies, the show did not wanna have him hitting anyone. There was one ep where he went and knocked some dude out in the bathroom, so he wasn't neccesarily all talk, I think more so than jo, but he still coulda knocked someone. Plus! Even if he WAS all talk he sure scared some people, which is really stupid because he is so small so either he was very convincing, the writters were stupid, or he wasn't really all talk.

Well enough of my talk, you can probably tell I'm a Fonz fan but that's beside the point.

Thomas E, you wrote about the episode where Jo wanted to be a nun. I didn't see that one, so did you mean Blair was saying JO didn't believe in God, or BLAIR didn't believe? I'm curious, because given what we know about Lisa Whelchel (deeply religious), it would be ironic if she was discouraging Jo from being a nun... How funny, anyway. Jo in a habit!

LOL! I can't believe Jo hit Blair, or that she wanted to be a nun! Do you know the name of this episode and has N@N aired it? Eeek, I hope they do. I would LOVE to see Jo duck Blair-if only once!

I also think it would be interesting to see Blair try and convince Jo there isn't a God due to Lisa's strong religous beliefs...

I hope N@N airs this episode! And soon!

Jo: Did you know that when you shake hands your lips 'pucker'?

Beverly Ann: Let's see. It's tomorrow in Africa so if I want to talk to Edna today then I should have called her yesterday...

Blair: The worst thing about falling asleep at the wheel is that I didn't get to see my whole life flash in front of my eyes.
Jo: Well that woulda killed ya for sure.

Talking

That's funny about Jo, I always thought she never hit anyone..I'm glad our "tough" girl from the Bronx finally hit Blair...she needed it sometimes.(J/K)

By the way, I think the only other episode with a tough punch was SueAnn..she really gave Blair a black eye..even though it was by accident.

I loved Tootie's reaction..yeah..she defaced a national treasure..

Take care..

Blair went on and on about how there is no God. Blair has a problem believing in God. She talked about how she stayed up all night praying to God hoping that he would not let her parents get divorced. Blair went on and on about how there was no God. It angered Jo
so much that Jo decked her.

If NAN does not shown this, you can always watch the episode when Natalie embarrases Jo and Blair with stories (including that 'hit and nun' episode)about them. Nat tells their college friends about it. So the Langley crowd all gets a laugh off the 'hit and nun' story.
