has anyone else noticed how creative the titles of cheers episodes are? such as It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad Bar (where the gang is frantically searching for a money belt in the bar) which is a reference to the movie It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World in which there's a madcap cross-country rush to find some treasure.
just to name a few, other examples of creativity are: The Days of Wine and Neuroses- title spoof of The Days of Wine and Roses Norm and Cliff's Excellent Adventure- title spoof of Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure Bar Wars- title spoof of Star Wars Bar Wars II: The Woodman Strikes Back- title spoof of Star Wars II: The Empire Strikes Back Bar Wars III: Return of Tecumseh- title spoof of Star Wars III: Return of the Jedi Adventures in Housesitting- title spoof of Adventures in Babysitting Dinner at Eight-ish- title spoof of Dinner at Eight From Beer to Eternity- title spoof of From Here to Eternity The Heart is a Lonely Snipe Hunter- title spoof of The Heart is a Lonely Snipe Hunter Peterson Crusoe- title spoof of Robinson Crusoe It's a Wonderful Wife- title spoof of It's a Wonderful Life The Last Picture Show- title spoof of The Last Picture Show Grease- title spoof of Grease The Norm Who Came in from the Cold- title spoof of The Spy Who Came in from the Cold The Spy Who Came in for a Cold One - title spoof of The Spy Who Came in from the Cold |

Master of my domain. But I will tell you this: I am going over to (Gestures to the nudist) her apartment, and I'm tellin' her to put those shades down! KRAMER: Woah, woah, woah. What-what did you just say? JERRY: I can't take it anymore! She's driving me crazy! I can't sleep, I can't leave the house, and I' here, I'm climbin' the walls. Meanwhile, I'm dating a virgin, I'm in this contest - something's gotta give! |

Lol i love Norm and Cliff's excellent adventure!!! You see their relationship a lot in that episode and the title is just so great!!! and BTW in Bill and Ted's excellent adventure my favorite comedian, sstand up guy whatever you wish to call him (I personally refer to him as a modern day philosopher) is in that movie, George Carlin!! He's also in Outrageous fortune with you guessed it SHELLEY LONG!!!! |

I love the spoof of From Here (Beer to Eternity). In the original, Montgomery Clift won't box in the army b/c he blinded a man once by accident in a boxing match. Woody's bowling accident was such a funny parody of a very sad movie.
