Default Booo! TV Land!

I rarely complain about TV Land editing shows, I understand they have to do it but I was sad to see one of my fave lines in "Bewitched" taken out from #69 "Divided He Falls"

When the client tells work-side Darrin he doesn't have to stress himself out, he already has the account and Darrin was talking about how he knew that already.

Then this is the part they edited out:

Larry Tate: Darrin, Mr. Stern was making a joke
Darrin: Alright

It doesn't sound funny but the way Dick York said it made me laugh everytime.... Booo TV Land for taking it out.

This isn't quite as bad as when they edited "Mr. Grant you gotta put some back" from "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" #82 "The Dinner Party"

Hopefully the show will come out on DVD uncut.

Oh, I know what you mean! That's why I'm hoping it comes out on dvd that way I don't have to worry about taping them anymore. Because they'll be uncut and hopefully in a better quality.

Are you serious about the MTM Show being edited? When I first watched it on TV Land I don't remember any differences between the version their playing now to the one they aired on Nick at Nite. I guess they did some extra cutting when they brought it to TV Land.

I agree. I'm really hoping Bewitched will come out on DVD Uncut, because TV Land and N@N edit to much of the show, and it really ruins a great show.

Ugh. I hate the way stuff is edited. I love that part you're talking about. Dick York was hilarious with his line delivery. I remember I was really upset about something they had cut out of "Junior Executive," but I can't remember what it was now. But, um... I was REALLY upset about it at the time, heh.

Thank goodness for the DVDs!! Every Bewitched episode is uncut. As for TV Land, that whole network has gone batty.

TV Land is sooooooo.........ugh. There are just a few shows I'll peek on but it is usually the same old shows all the time. I love that I have access to a Retro Television Network affiliate, where I'm currently getting my Love, American Style fix!

They've also edited stuff out from The Trial and Error Of Aunt Clara too. I'm glad I have all five seasons. TVLand ruins great shows.
