Default "Roy Crazy" (The Return Of Sylvia)

Last night's episode (another "earlier season" show shown out of order) was a very funny one!

I wasn't a big fan of Sylvia's first "Wings" appearance (when Roy and Brian go to her home to visit her), and someone here mentioned that this second appearance by her was a much better episode....and that person was RIGHT!

Sylvia seemed much more human in this episode, and there was some genuinely funny dialogue between Roy and her.

This was also a great episode for Roy....although it showed his more respectable side, he wouldn't allow things to get too sticky and maudlin.

And WHERE did they find that kid who played the weird, bug-eyed waiter? He was hilarious: "Hi....remember me? I was your waiter....I served you.....CRABS!".

Joe didn't have a heck of a lot to do in this episode, but he was very funny just sitting on the sideline and commenting on the action going on....and his imitations of the "Crab Waiter" and Roy's stupid laugh were hilarious!

And let's not forget each person's reaction when he or she first saw the attractive, elegant Sylvia and was told that she was Roy's ex-wife: "No WAY!".

Yes, a great episode...and even though the episode centered around Roy, it still had a good "ensemble" feeling to it.

I noticed that Helen's crab boy was played by John Hawkes. He later played a man named Padgett in one episode of The X-Files, Season 6's "Milagro." Strangely enough, he played a man who was madly in love with Scully -- and stalked her. He also had a strange way of talking -- not like crab boy, but still, just a creepy way. At one point in "Milagro," Scully asks Mulder a question, and he answers her -- doing a dead-on imitation of Padgett.

Coincidence? I think not!!

I also noticed that the same actor who played Section Chief Blevins for many years on TXF played the priest who counseled Anotonio & Helen when they wanted to get an annulment!

TXF connection grows...

Love,

Wing<><

The Roy part of the story was kind of boring, I thought.

But I loved the weird waiter guy from the restaraunt that kept stalking Helen the whole time. hahahaha. He was sooo funny! I loved the "I was your waiter. I served you. crabs."

and yeah, I loved how Joe was sort of commenting on everything from the sidelines.
I loved it when Helen tried to get Joe to get rid of the scary waiter stalker guy, and Joe was like, "he only has a crush on you. besides, why wouldn't he?..." and then he did an imitation of him "...you've got the kind of spatulas that drive men wild." HAHAHA!! That was great! I was CRACKING UP.

The part when Joe imitating the waiter was the funniest part of the episode, and Helen hitting him with her towel. Also, when 'crab boy' asked Helen what she finds attractive in a man and she says 'a Harvard education' and he says Class of '89. Just to hear the reaction of the audience. I also like an episode like this one when they're all standing around the lunch counter talking, in this case, about Roy.

Why thank you, Yes, I'll take the credit!!

I did mention that Pilotgey and I'm glad you appreciated the character more. That episode was much better then her first appearance.

I also loved the crab boy.....and Crystal's reactions to him were great.

Let's not forget ALEX'S reactions to him when he developed a crush on HER:

"Stop following me, and lose the bug-eyes!"......

What a line...and so TYPICALLY "Alex"!

I loved it when everyone kept calling him Helen's crab boy, I ROFL at that one, then Joe imitating him was priceless and dead on!
That was a very good episode, showed Roy can be human once in a blue moon
