Sad Don't think so...

Gracie, it has been a while but I think I did read somewhere that Freddie was unable to be with his son that Christmas--part of the hassle over the divorce that was in the works at the time. IMHO, it may have been the last straw in a long string of disappointments and upsets which led to his suicide.

Sad So Sad

I am not sure whether or not Freddie saw Pie for Christmas, but I do know that there was a fear about Freddie's escallating drug use and the fact that he was playing with the gun. I know that was the reason given as to why he was kept from Pie at other times. It was a sad situation all the way around. You don't know how many times at night I dream about becoming like that one guy in the show that Scott Bakula was in where he would go back in time to change situations, and I wish I could go back in time and change the situation with Freddie. Being a sci fi nut, I always wonder if time travel is possible..... OMG if it were, I would go back and try to get Freddie help...

I thought i read somewhere that he spent that last christmas alone in his hotel watching TV and drinking coke
Lucky what an awesome thought to be able to go back and fix things for Freddie, or at least try
it could be like Jimmy Stewet/George Bailey in it's a wonderful life only he could see what happens to those he leaves behind???

I had read that too! & I read that on Christmas in Vegas aall the company he had was a reporter from the Enquier who came to interview him about the divorce. Freddie wound up in tears a lttle when talking about the divorce & the baby & had to get a hanky out & dab at his eyes with it. I think he was toying with it as he was talking. He decided to talk to them about the divorce so he could get the truth out rather than all sort of wild rumors being published all over the place. I read this article somewher but I'm not sure if it's one I have or one that I read on one of the Freddie sites. So sad. I did read where Kathy finally relented & let Freddie come a few days before Christmas to have a Christmas celebration with the baby & the baby his presents. I read where the reason he took the Vegas gigs at Christmas when usually he wouldn't & would stay home with his folks was he figured if he couldn't be at home with his wife & kids he might as well work to get his mind off it...

So sad! A new father should be able to have spend the happiest time of the year with his child...A new family should be together at Christmas time! Poor Freddie! I'm like Luckymama; I wish we could all go back in time and somehow make things better for him!!

It may have been one of LUCKYMAMA's articles but I can't swear to it. If I come across it again I'll post it on here...
