Default Posting a mail fraud on your website

I just got a notice from my website provider that I may be going against terms of service. I had the name, address, and weblinks of a bad trader on my bad trader page, and the woman filled out a terms of service form on me. I may pursue this by contacting them further, but meanwhile, I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where to list this information to get this on-line so that one can find it using search engines.

This professional mail fraud uses every trick in the book and has canceled countless email accounts. Recently she tried to shut down three websites (one of them was mine), attempted to have a webring shut down, and probably many other things that I'm not aware of.

Does anyone have any ideas as to how I can get this information on-line permanently so that when people do trader checks they'll find out about such people? Surely they don't rule the web, or maybe they do... with years of practice.

After this situation, I am afraid to say, I wonder if the worst traders of all are the ones that cover their tracks so well by attacking with terms of use, etc. They know all the ropes of their trade. The main problem with this is that their names are harder to find on-line.

Thanks for any help in this regard,

Jen

Yes, I had to delete it temporarily until I could get ahold of someone at yahoo to see about posting it again.

Thanks for the heads up, though, bearcat.

Wink Update

Thanks for all of the ideas emailed to me privately. I did want to clarify that yahoo warned me that I may be going against terms of service by listing a mail fraud (her IDs, emails, aliases, etc). It was obvious from their email that they hadn't even checked my website. I have merely listed the bad trader's name, referring people to email me for any up-to-date information, rather than listing the information on my site itself. If I get bumped off of my website for listing a name only it's open season for all of the bad traders.

I guess the crooks of this world rule the internet. My website was canceled because I had a bad trader's name on it, with an attached link ONLY.

Thankfully I'd had the foresight to save all information on my webpages. I'd gotten into such detail it's almost a relief to not have to keep it up.

Apparently the more a bad trader practices her trade, the better she is at her deceit.

Still smiling,

Jen

I have never been ripped off by anbody but in case something happens otherwise I'll ask this. Let's say that instead of posting any information the persons who ripped me off on the web site, I say that there are people who ripped me off and if you want to know who to beware of e-mail me and I will give you the list. Can they touch you for that?

I am unsure whether or not one could get their email/websites canceled by emailing someone with information or even posting on a board such as this one. Probably the safest bet is to post on the trading board, rather than on your own website or only emailing those whom you've learned to trust somewhat.

After the fiasco I've gone through with my first, only, and hopefully last bad trading experience with someone who's been banned from this board yet recently cropped up on a different board google board (be sure to click on "complete thread 42 articles) in the last few days (not by my doing), I think the moral of the story is this:

If you can't find information on a particular trader, BEWARE. And if you do find something on a particular trader, BEWARE. The potential trader may have merely covered her tracks like a professional. Go slow and easy with anyone that doesn't have a well respected reputation. It's probably best to stick with just a handful of trading boards, and watch, listen, and be patient for the stuff on your want list.

Jen

I hope Mashhunter reads this thread. I went to his tape trading web site and he has several people listed on his site as bad traders.

I think there's a very good reason why most of the "bad trader" pages on-line seem to disappear. They've probably run into the same situation. It's pretty sad when the bad guy wins merely because he's perfected his art.

I think the trick here is to have a website that does not have a terms of service on it.

one of my friends has a home-business and he's gotten ripped off twice by bad sellers. what he does is at the end of every newsletter he CAUTIONS us from dealing with these people, gives there name and info, and says that HE HAS HAD DIFFICULTIES with them. There's no law against that, and we all know exactly what he means. Just a thought. Leave it said in-between the lines, you know?
