Talking Wonder what day had the most posts in SO history?

If you guessed July 1st, you would be correct. 3691 posts yesterday.

Say what you want about the lack of signatures and the attachments not loading automatically, you can't deny the boards are much faster now. Faster boards = more people posting

Exactly. And, to be honest with you, the boards are going the same speed for me.

Well we were very upset that day. Can you blame us?

But, I've gotten over it.

Most of the arguing was done the night before though... And you have a broadband connection don't you? If so a broadband connection is so fast you wouldn't notice the difference...

Not only were there more posts, there were about 20000 more page impressions then normal. An impression is counted every time a page is loaded.

If you cant notice any difference, you must be on dsl/cable.

For the 56k people, it would be like night and day. And let's face it there are still more people with 56k then have dsl/cable.

Not for long, though. Estimates show that more people in America will be on broadband than dial-up by years' end.

Interesting. Thanks, AAOT. I'm humbled. That might just have been something our bosses told us to get us to sell more Broadband.
