Next week (July 8th) sees the release of Little House on the Prairie Season 1 and Season 2, plus 3 different single-disc releases including a remastered release of The Pilot. The new season set releases come with a collectable booklet that describes each episode in the set. The center pages of this booklet, though, is a two-page spread advertising all five of the July releases. At the bottom of this is a block which says: "COMING SOON! The Complete Third and Fourth Seasons presented uncut and in their original form, in 6 DVD sets! Also, watch for these 2 Hour TV Specials releasing on DVD and Video: 'As Long As We Are Together' & 'There's No Place Like Home'. Continue Your Collection!" |

We have just gotten through loading release information for several new Little House on the Prairie DVDs from producer ImaVision and distributor Goldhil Media:
Each of the 1-disc releases have a list price of $14.98, and the Season 3 set goes for an SRP of $49.98. The Christmas release date could be either 10/7 or 11/4 - we're going to follow up on that with ImaVision. But the other three releases are definate at November 4th. Along with announcing these DVDs, ImaVision has revealed their general plans for the future of Little House on the Prairie DVD releases. In their own words: Imavision Distribution plans on releasing all 9 Seasons of Little House along with the after-series specials that aired in 1984. Although it is too early to confirm each release date, we feel confident that the entire series should be preserved on DVD by the end of 2005. |
