ive never heard of this show, it has a lot of threads. is it on tv land?

Nope. It used to be on TV Land from 2000 until the end of 2001. I had never heard of the show myself, until an E! True Hollywood Story about Freddie Prinze. Then I looked up the show in a TV book I have. After that I was interested in seeing the show. It was a year later when I finally saw Chico and the Man on TV Land. It has since become one of my favorite sitcoms.

It was on TVLAND but sadly they took it off. If you could see it you would love it!

It was a show from the mid seventies. Unfortunately, it is not currently on TV Land or any other network at this time. TV Land ran it for a short time about 2 years ago. However, the message board for this show is still one of the more popular ones! That goes to show you how good this show is!!

It was about a young, cocky chicano played by Freddie Prinze who befriends a grumpy old man played by Jack Albertson. The interaction and the insults hurled between the two of them are hilarious! Scatmen Crothers also co-starred in it, (you might remember him as the psychic old man in "The Shining") and he was hilarious, too!

It was an awesome show and sorely missed. Perhaps if you go to TV Land the message board and say that you have never seen chico and the man but would like to it will help inspire them to get the licenese to air the show again. We have been tryuing for some time to do that but maybe if they know there is interest for people to see it a first time it will help

From what I can remember of it, it was a cute little show. Mr. Prinze was a very good looking man. Thanks Joy for the welcome,I will try and drop in often.
